Exactly what zappped said, ignore the info about the cones. They're difficult to use and leak alot.
A cartomizer (or carto) has a coil surrounded by poly fill (white fluffy stuff). The coil is the heating element that vaporizes the juice/liquid. The poly fill holds the liquid. When I first started out I used cartos because they were simple to use, but that was awhile ago. Now clearomizers are all the rage. A clearomizer is similar to a carto, except it doesn't have poly fill and uses wicks to feel the coil with juice.
