New member! My current set-up and some questions.

Hello! This is my first post/thread. I just registered, although I've been creeping the forum for awhile. I started vaping with a joye 510 tank kit, which I loved, and eventually moved to a joye e-go tank system for battery life.

I'm now inspired to purchase a variable voltage device after reading of the many flavor and vapor production benefits. The e-go booster seems like a good choice. Any other recommendations? Also, I'm thinking of ordering the Liquinator as well, as I understand they fit well on e-go batteries.

Nice to meet you all! Thanks in advance for any advice, and thanks for the good advice I've already received reading everyones' posts.

Cartomizers. Most people vape with cartomizers at least for their favorite juices and Boge are most popular. I find they work best with thinner juices, 20% or less VG. And I avoid juices that drop a lot of flavoring sediment because that will clog up atys and cartos. A plastic or delrin drip tip makes a nice cool mouthpiece on a carto and is easy to remove for adding juice. And someone I saw had great luck using Boge cartos with the liquinator and bad luck with more exotic cartos.

That's all I know. I have neither VV nor a Liquinator. Some like devices like Liquinator and some like big carto tanks in stead with replaceable CE2 guts (I would wait to buy one of those until they are using the new CE3 carto guts). And some people like bottle bottom feeders (low end see Old Goat's mods in Buying & Selling... Mods and Accessories or see his website, and high end see Reomods)

I dont have a lot of experience with tanks, or carto's, but i did get some tanks because they purportedly are better than plain cartos since they will keep the filler wet all the time.

my liquinator is a snap and works as advertised; they send the carto already cut for you too... get a few.

I stayed away from Ce2 because of all the issues... Liquinator is for normal carto's i believe, and there is none more normal than Boge.
Dual Coil are a good choice if you want some exciting vaping; they are working great in tanks too.

What ever type of carto you choose, make sure to optimize the resistance to the VV ... ie. some VV's (provari) is best with SR and HV, not LR (at least not under 1.8 or 2.0 Ohm.
If you get an eGo variable you should be fine with LR and SR.

my suggestion would be to check out gotvapes' vv-ego* & maybe the visions ( large ce2's,I LOVE these) ,since all your experience is w/tanks I think you might like these more than the carto's with filler in them ...of course I could be wrong ...

*I don't work for gotvapes or anything like that I just really like their selection of products & C.service.

There's a lot of inexpensive VV box mods available, it would give you a chance to find your sweet spot, it may be 4v, or 5v, or even 6+v, we're all different. :) Then you could zero in on the high priced mod that fits your vaping style.

I've found about 4.5 -4.8v as much as I like for the temp of vapor I like, and the juices I use, and for the cartos and attys I prefer. A lot depends on what you feel you're missing in your current setup. Too cool? Not enough vapor? Lousy flavor? Too much, not enough throat hit? All these might have different solutions.... :)

A word of caution about the ego booster. You can only use it on a genuine Joye ego or other PVs with PWM (Pulse Width Modulation) but you may need an adapter too. It will burn up a Riva battery or a ego knockoff. I've learned from experience. I love my ego booster though but they are pretty expensive and you can get cheap VV box mods for less than the booster. Here is the Ego Booster FAQ I'm not trying to steer you away from the Ego Booster because I think they are great for getting a feel for VV but you want to be sure you use it on the right battery or PV.

Now why did you have to go and post this. :) Must resist...must resist!

And they come in a 900mah version as well.

I use an ego booster with an ego mega dual coil cartomizer and it works great . Great if you carry lots of batteries with you I mean . The mega carto will wear down a 1000mah battery in 5 hours if you vape like I do . 4 hour with the booster but considering the great vape I think it is worth it . I carry a PCC with 3 1000mah batteries to work just in case . Older batteries will wear down faster .
