I bought a smok SID mod, and i currently have a Smok GBC tank/clearomizer.
the battery voltage is 4.1 V, and im not sure what that means. It has variable voltage, but it doesnt seem to affect that number. I use usually 3.3 V, due to when i go higher it tastes burnt. Is there any advice on what settings to use to get the best flavor?
And i am also interested in gettting the raven tank, oppinions?

I have the GBC that I have used on a 3.7 volt battery. The GBC can use a T3 coil/head...at least that is what I use in it. I use a 1.8 ohm coil. I've never really "liked" the flavor from the GBC...always seemed plastic tasting to me...even more than other plastic tanks. But, it does hold a lot of liquid and looks good on my device, so I use it once in a while.

If it tastes burnt, then it may not be wicking well. You may try drawing without firing the button...the objective is to draw more liquid into the wicks. Or let it sit longer between hits.

Hi rasta and Welcome to ECF :)

The 4.1 reading is the remaining battery voltage in your battery. Fully charged it should read 4.2 and when its time to recharge it will read about 3.6 it has no affect on any of your settings - its just for you to be able to monitor battery life.

Settings on voltage or wattage will vary based upon the tank, the liquid and your tastes. The best advice is start all the way low on your choice of volts OR watts and go up one notch at a time until you find your sweet spot. If it tastes burned go back down a notch or 2 until it doesnt.

The Raven tank is a grand idea and grand as far as use when you get a properly made tank replacement - I ran into the issue of barely any of the stupid atomizers were properly manufactured and tossed that in the drawer of crap. It is a very common problem. You would probably be better served with a good ol cartotank. Go IBTanked for the best you can get or vapor-mania hand blown 5ml if you absolutely have to spend less $$. It is the closest in quality. Not the best ever, but it wont let you down!

Hope this helps out some! Happy vaping.

I have an IBTanked coming to replace my GBC...so this may be a good idea. Hope to have it in a day or so...will report back.
