When I bought my first clearomizer thingie, I told the lady I just want tobacco flavor. I literally wanted my cigarette in e-form. I wouldn't even try the flavor samples they had. lol I'm glad I "got over it" and tried flavor. I just started with something I knew I loved, coffee, and went from there. It's an unbelievable process, but I think it will be worth it!

I don't think vaping flavors of tabacco will ever be the same as a analog because of all the chemicals in an analog. I just look for what tastes good.

As to finding flavors, I have been trying samplers big-time. I have finally settled on one vendor because I really appreciate the texture (thinner), flavors and service. Now I just have to find a good hardware vendor.

I was a Newport smoker for 23 years. I ordered several Menthol flavors and was not impressed at all. I only like the fruity and citrusy menthol/mint flavors. I buy most of my juices from Mt.Baker Vapor. Love their juices, and am glad I was willing to try all kinds of flavors. Its amazing once u get into vaping the one thing u liked the most while smoking analogs, is the least favorite when vaping :D...I did order one Tobacco flavor which is Vanilla Tobacco from Mt.baker and it is amazing, but again may be too sweet for you.

I use V2 and have found no flavor that tastes like a real cigarette, but now that I have not had a real cigarette in over 9 months, I don't know what the big deal was. In my opinion, real cigarettes are horrible. However, after trying a few flavors, I did find one that I did like and thoroughly enjoy vaping. As for V2, I tried their Red, Sahara and Congress . . . Of the 3 mentioned, I personally like the Congress flavor the best. Then I wanted to try eliquids. I prefer the liquids over the pre-filled cartridges. I tried flavors that I thought I would like . . . Coffee, Cinnamon, Vanilla and Clove. I currently use both pre-filled (while at work . . . easier to carry) and eliquids (while at home). You will find your flavor. Just remember, vaping us not like smoking, it is better.

Hey all, I've been lurking here for quite a while, sucking up information like a sponge. I finally made the switch to e-cigs and picked up a V2 kit. I like the battery a lot, nice and small and the cartomizers are convenient when you're out on the town. I also picked up a pack of e-smart clearomizers so I could use some of the many varieties of e-liquid out there. While waiting for my kit I got online and ordered a few different flavors of juice...and I'm glad I did. Out of 7 flavors of carts and liquid I've got right now only 1 is good and a few are tolerable. I picked them up from many different vendors as well, so it isn't a matter of one brand having a bad product. The one I really liked was Johnson Creek Silverthorne. It wasn't the flavor I was after but it has a nice, rich Tobacco taste. The odd thing was it, as well as many other flavors I picked up were variations of "Turkish Tobacco" and NONE of them actually taste anything like Tobacco at all, let alone Turkish. They all range from bitter to kind of resembling the taste of an accidentally lit cigarette filter. I'm starting to worry I may just not have the right taste buds for e-cigs. Johnson Creek is good, but it is kind of expensive and a bit too "pipe-ish" for the long term. I'm trying to stay off the "analogs" but need a flavor that I can work with here. Does anyone else find a lot of these flavors have chemically/bitter/burnt filter taste? (and yes, the burnt filter taste was present from the start, on a freshly filled clearomizer)

I'm going to head to a local store today and try to find something that works, but I'm worried I'm going to have quite a stock pile of liquid i have no desire to use. thanks for any input!

You will not find an e liquid that tastes like burning tobacco !

Next best thing is natural extracts. The ones you've tried are just artificial chemical flavours that, quite frankly, taste like crap. And they all taste the same too. Natural extracts taste like the tobacco before it's burnt, the smell you get from a pouch of tobacco !. I'm in the uk so can't help you to find any where you are. But you will find one or two vendors if you look hard enough, or maybe someone here will point you in the right direction.:)

When I started out, I purchased a tobacco sampler kit that Halo offers (I too was searching for the more authentic flavor for my transition). They have a pretty decent selection without being overwhelming for someone just venturing into the vaping territory. Throughout the year, I've branched out to various other vendors and have discovered a whole wide world of flavors. It's a little bit of a journey but an interesting one.

Thanks again for all the input! I know that no juice (aside from enjoy) can taste like a regular cigarette but I at least expected tobacco flavors to taste like tobacco smells. I use to do RYO And enjoyed the variety of different smells with different tobacco(and I also like Islay scotch which is basically tobacco flavored) anyway, that's why I like Johnson Creek the most so far...I just don't know what the others are going for in taste. I may try coffee or some various cigar flavors but I just don't like sweets and candy too much.

1 more question: on my clearomizer when I get down to a quarter or so left the liquid turns darker and gets a scorched flavor...not burned cotton, but like burned coffee that's been left on too long. This happens most with my manual battery, but that could just be because I prefer that one when I'm at home.

Juice is getting a little fried. I use to top it off but then it just makes the new taste crappy sooner. I just dump it. How old is the coil and what tank? I'm sure you have said but I have crs. If it's been used for a few days the atty probably needs to be dry burned to get the juice crud off the wick and coil.

These?
Kanger E-Smart 808D-1 808 808D1 Clearomizer
I doubt that drip tip is removable. You can try it though. Wash out tank and wicks with water. Then put it on device with no juice in it. Hold fire button for just a few seconds. You will need to do this a few times. It will cook off water first then cook off juice build up. This may pop your coil if you hold button too long or coil is already weak. Just a warning. You should see silica near atty getting cleaner. Make sure you have a back up ready just in case. Post up on how it works for you.

lol I just checked the pics and the drip tip does come off. It fills from the top. Leave drip tip off when dry burning

The coils are replaceable so the drip tip is definitely removable.

I don't see replacement coils but I don't have one of those clearos either. Yeah I saw and edited drip tip about 10 minutes before you caught it

On further research you can't replace coil they are disposable but fairly cheap to buy about $3.50

K, I'll have to give that a try. Is this technique good at helping get the taste of a bad juice out? that RY4 just doesn't agree with me at all...I rinsed out the tank and even sloshed some everclear around in it before leaving it to dry overnight but the smell is still there.

Did you dry burn it? After dry burn it will taste burnt for 15 -20 minutes. That will fade with vaping it. After its dry burnt it should be dry and ready to use.
