I am still playing with the whole watts, volts, and ohms for the correct set up for me.

Choose what mod you want to run it (watts or volts) and adjust until you find the setting that works best for you. If you start to get "dry hits" take it down a notch or two. I normally run in wattage mod so that if I change my topper (that uses a lower Ω coil) I don't end up overpowering the coil. Ohm's Law Calculator

Indeed, a good B&M can be very helpful. Sometimes a few minutes of "hands on" can make clear what many lines of text still leave befuddled  And since hardware and juices are typically cheaper on-line, customer service is what will keep the stores in business.

If the 6 is feeling like there's something "lacking", you might be happier with a higher level. But don't go to the highest level, at least not in one step.

Was thinking of going to 12mg for the next one. It's not that there is something lacking per say, but I would go a couple of hours (at work) between cigs and with the vaping, I seem to be hitting it every couple of minutes

Hello Marvincbr and welcome to vaping! I started with the ciggalikes and then move on to the eG0C Twist. That's worked just fine for me and I've been vaping for almost two years. In the beginning you may want to vape and smoke but eventually you'll find yourself cutting down the cigarettes. From what I have read depending on how much you smoke the amount of nicotine goes up. I was a very light smoker and 12 mg. killed my stomach but 6 was fine. I think someone recently posted a chart to give newbie's some idea. In any case lots of good luck with vaping. Ginger

Hello Martincbr and welcome to ECF. There is a whole lot of information to try and digest. I would recommend keeping it simple to get started. You have a great equipment so now it is just a matter of finding a juice you like and the nic level that is comfortable for you. When I started I had too low a level and had to get a stronger level (18 mg) to get me going. My local B&M was a really big help. I didn't get serious about vaping until February and duel vaped until finally, on my birthday, I had my last cig.

Thanks Susan. Just what I think I need. Seems to be a ton of confusing (to me) information out there about the vw/vv and ohms on the coil.... My head spins
Welcome to the forum, and a healthier life!
One thing on watts/volts that I'd a common confusion for many new vapers.... It's one or the other.. When you set one, the other adjusts automatically.
Watts= the measurement of energy (heat) at the coil
Volts= the current applied to the coil to obtain the desired wattage
Ohms= the measurement of resistance in your coil.
Ohms law= the formula used to determine: Watts, volts, ohms, amperage drain from battery). You use two known numbers to arrive at the two unknowns....input coil ohms and voltage will give you wattage and amps, input amps and wattage will give you ohms and volts, for example. There are good online ohms law calculators and even some apps for your cell phone.
The istick is a good mod to start on, it won't let you use a coil build that is dangerous (too low of ohms, or shorted etc.). You are pretty safe experimenting to find what works best for you. Once you decide what you like (warm vape/cool vape, lots of vape/minimal vape....or in between, more flavor or less...etc. etc.) then most here will be happy to help you fine tune to get the most out of your equipment, all you gotta do is ask :p
