Ah, you know about the shelf liner. I never tried good quality vinyl, I have so many fabric scraps around I started with that. You do very nice work.

Thanks Ocelot! I have a ton of quilting fabric/calicos - maybe I'll think about that. :) How did you manage the cutouts for the button and windows? Did you use Fray Check or anything? How did you adhere it? (I have a little machine I could run it through to back it with adhesive, but wondering what you did and whether your method would work better.)

I can cut fabric with my cutter using the same template I use for vinyl, but would have to stiffen the fabric first with spray starch or something.

I was about to ask you how you got yours to adhere. Your machine sounds interesting. I used double-sided carpet tape. The button and window were a PITA and not very straight, so I decorated around them to cover the flaws. I used a little fray stuff with some fabric and a lot with others (the material in the picture I posted earlier was a fraying nightmare). This is my favorite one.

There are some nice provaris out here! And ocelot is the winner with the pirate costume. On the one hand I'm jealous on the other hand I feel my provari looks best in her birthday suit! It's just such a sexy machine it feels wrong covering it up. I want to raise her to know she's beautiful just as she is.

Disclaimer: if I ever have a daughter I'm dressing her in multiple layers and deleting this post!

Nice pirate! :) The vinyl I use is self-adhesive, just peel it off the backing and apply. I get it for .99/12"x24" sheet so a single sheet can cut a lot of wraps (or decals) very cheap. I imagine with fabric the cutouts wouldn't be easy at all.

I used tiny little scissors.

Well, yeah, otherwise they start responding to "Hey you" and the neighbors begin to question your parenting abilities. You want your new Provari to grow up to be a confident, self-assured fog machine some day, don't you?

hehehe. That reminds me of Seinfield. "hey....you....."

Congrats! I only have one but I'd love another one day. I like it. I like it a lot :)
