I feel you on this, i am a month off the cigarettes and on the vape. Back when i smoked cigs and hit my friends vapes, they always tasted awesome and flavorful. Now i've been using the subtank mini for a month, 3 weeks in my flavors just started tasting like steam. I've become rather bored and upset that i keep wasting money on liquids that always seem to disappoint. I still get good flavors from some like extreme ice and methols. So i just ordered Fire n Ice on vaporbomb, i feel like it will be strong and tickle my fancy.

I don't know if this could help, I don't care for the super thick flavored juices. I use Nude Nicotine, which is unflavored, and mix in small amounts of the only flavor I like. Have you tried anything like that? Basically cutting flavored juice with unflavored. I still get tons of flavor from the " light " juice.
This! Best thing I've done for juices. Vaping Nude Nicotine Nic base 70 pg/30vg 24 mg Nic base unflavored and love it, add a little flavored juice to it sometimes. Not heavy like most juices. Great idea!

If you do decide to continue vaping....in the uk I'd suggest trying red vapes net juices...since trying nets I can't get on with other styles of juice - they have always tasted good at first but I very soon tire of them. Take for instance a bowl of custard or a bar of chocolate - tasty in moderation but you'd soon feel sick if you ate it all day. Same with a bowl of fruit...too much and no thanks.

Issue may be red vape only do one strength per flavour, however....

Havano lite comes in 6mg...subtle but I'd be happy just to vape this.

Nets are kind of like real cigs but very different at same time. Like cigs I find the flavour suits all day use.

Or as mentioned before unflavoured juice could be an option. If you're drinking a coffee or beer or wine, what's wanted is a vape or smoke that compliments rather than overrides.

I do sometime wonder if the reason for so much flavour changing is a result of many flavours simply not suiting repeated use?

have you tried one of those online shops that sell lots of samples ?

Dont know any in the Uk offhand but Im sure there are tons.

They sell 1.5ml or 2ml samples of all kinds of known brand eliquids.

A great way to try out different juices without wasting too much money. Also useful for "a change" of taste once in a while without having to invest in a full 30ml bottle.

Ive wasted so much cash on trying eliquids and have tons of discarded bottles in shoe boxes in my closet....sure wish I knew someone to give them away to....unfortunately the postage just doesnt make that worthwhile to anyone outside of FR...

Maybe you could try a couple of samples ,also would make a good "break" every once in a while frrom the unflavored (if you decide to go that route) + allows for a great VARIETY....

Best of Luck either way :) !

Nope. I thought I was going to have to live with disappointment. Then I went to unflavored.

I was JUST going to suggest this to the OP.

You really get used to it after a while.

I never did understand flavor chasers, and all that endless money leaving my bank account for ejuice.....at least, after the first year. By that time, I realized how easy it was to just put some flavoring in VG/PG nic solution and that 95% of my own DIY was better or as good as most vendor eliquid.

Right now I am vaping the cheapest vendor I can even imagine that a friend gave me, and comparing it to the "similar" ejuice from so-called premium vendor (whatever that means anymore other than $20 + or - for 15ml) that I always thought was so good. Wow, this is a real wake up call.

Do I carry on vaping 0nic and treat it like a hobby. Or try to quit altogether.

I'll probably go with the latter. But I'll give it a few days thought first.

The aim at the time of taking up vaping was to use it as an aid to completely quit altogether.

But vaping itself has now become a hobby and I'm not sure I want to quit that just yet.

Kinda where i"m at Lyceum, except I will say I'm "glad to be here" as it took me 3+ years to get down to 0% nic (I was scaredy cat) but I SO APPRECIATE that that "urge" for lack of a better word is gone now, it's really quite a relief. I mean, I can go all day w/out vaping if I want, or 2-3 days. I just vape when I feel like it......not because I feel like I "have to".

There were a few "hairy" moments when I dropped to zero nic and a few times there was *urge* .... but then I realized if I fed it I would be back on the nic----- and it wasn't THAT BAD, I mean no different than saying "no" to birthday cake or dessert at a party..... so I persevered. :) I really don't need nic now and it is really a relief. I can't explain it but my whole body just relaxed into it.

I was gonna suggest diy'ing also and Vaperstek no throat hit nicotine, but here's a vendor that offers both max vg and a no throat hit nicotine option :

http://www.ethervapes.com/Divine-Dessert_c_13.html

Yes, he uses Vapers Tek which is EU sourced.

I have always like EU nic solution, and another GREAT company is Decadent Vapours in the UK
Really top notch and I have always trusted them 100% ....1000% actually. :)

You enjoy the hobby aspect, so why quit vaping?

You might also consider, rather than unflavored, is take your vendor ejuice and cut 50% with VG.....nice mellow vape IMHO and certainly will un-do some of the harshness of the flavorings, esp. if it is fruit.

Not gonna try to talk you into it if it doesn't interest you, but I just want to correct the "not by much".
I spent $70 on stuff to start trying to DIY. Got lucky and made decent juice right away, and within a month or so, was making my own favorite. A few tweaks here and there, but I pretty much stopped buying juice altogether within a couple months.
Other than a few more bottles, that was the "initial investment".

And so my ongoing cost for liquid works out pretty closely to $0.055/ml.
That's $1.65 for 30mls.
Takes me about 10 minutes to mix up a batch - 200 mls at a time lately.

Thanks but I don't have the inclination to DIY. Plus I'd just end up wasting cash in concentrates instead of premade. Yes it would be cheaper. But not by much.

I am in a similar boat. Vaping over a year and i have found only a couple e-juices that i can use daily. Most of them are really bad and the cost really adds up over time experimenting with different brands. Right now i just stick with ITC Wintermint with drops of Halo Sub-Zero. The flavor is always strong and consistent. I love tobacco flavors but everyone i have tried starts tasting burnt a day later, even with a new coil.

I'm exactly the same. Not been vaping that long but bought LOADS of different flavours, brands etc. Some are tolerable, for a few days, some are utter atrocities. I've found one or two that are ok, (one of them being Diamond Mist silver despite what everyone told me about DM being awful)

Feel like I'm chasing something I'll never ever find. Tired of wasting money. Tired of being disappointed with so called "premium juices".

It could possibly be the way your build is or the type of flavorings/bases used.

If done right, even super low ohm builds should not be harsh. Could be the atty design or the type of power delivery. A regulated mod pushing around 4 volts is not the same as an unregulated mod pushing around 4 volts.

You may need to experiment a bit more, but this time with hardware.

One thing to try would not be full DIY, but to cut your juice with unflavored and use only your own clean nic, such as Vapor Tek or Wizard Labs. I have Wizard that's 3 months old, never refrigerated, and still crystal clear (no yellow) even at 100 mg undiluted. Many makers use other nic, not necessarily because cheaper, I rather like peppery nic in many flavors (or even in unflavored at 24 mg but I can't really handle it).

If you're down to only 1 juice you can vape, that would also make DIY look less overwhelming than trying to match a whole bunch of flavors you like. If you could find 3 flavorings you can handle, they could be mixed together a good number of ways.

As to tobaccos, there's an amazing number of them and I tend to equate not liking them to only trying the more common types. If you do try DIY, try grabbing a bottle of FA 7 Leaves, tastes like tobacco but not smoking. Mixes with almost anything.

I must disagree. If you find the right vendor for your DIY supplies, you can save as much as 80% of the cost of a retail gourmet e-liquid. That has been my experience anyways. You get the 3-4 ml bottles of flavor and then test away until you find a flavor or combo of flavors you like. Then you can purchase larger volumes of your favorite flavors for long term use.

Totally! This is especially true, and maybe even a greater cost differential, if the buyer knows what they do NOT want to vape and has a more clear idea on what they are interested in. For me, I was practically interested in it all (which did get a little pricey), but I know people that are only looking for something like one apple flavor, so their cost is so low that it is not even a consideration. For people that are keeping it simple with their DIY, they quite possible can be up and running with several years for of product for the cost of a few bottles of 5 Pawns (or the like).

Yup. This is me. I have two favorite juices that I mix in volumes of 60 ml each. When I first started DIY, I did spend a little change trying to find a brand of flavor that I liked but not much. 3ml bottles of flavor are like $3 for the top tier brands. PG and VG are nearly free they're so cheap. Nic is very inexpensive as long as you shop around.
