Hello everyone. I pretty new to vaping, about six months analog free! I currently have a Joye eGo and it has been working great. I'm interested in getting a higher voltage unit for home use, likely in the $150 and below range. Would you all mind guiding me in the right direction? Anything to look out for, your experiences, etc.

On a side note, I call myself a third generation vaper because my father and grandfather both have eGo's as well. My grandfather smoked a pipe for nearly 50 years and cigs for years before that. (he will be 80 in a few months) Since our eGo's showed up in the mail he hasn't touched the pipe! My father is a work in progress but he still uses the e-cig very often. We are all very very thankful for this technology and for the people who make it possible. :)

Hi Tigerman and Welcome to ECF!

For your first HV PV, I would suggest the Maxi Roughstack from MadVapes.com. That's the one I would get if I was starting out. Hard to beat for $50, + batteries & charger. You can go 3.7v or 6v, depending on which batteries you stick in in it.

Another good one, if you might like to vary your voltage, as some juices taste better at different voltages and atty resistances is Ken's Big Brother mod. Comes as variable up to 6+v ($75 + batteries & charger) or 3.7v.

The REALLY GOOD juice feed mods are usually sold out all the time and even Ken's mods (not juice feeders) are pre-orders. You can get in on the fun & excitement for a Reo in the next few weeks, Rob will be having another sale on the MiniReo juice fed mod. Look for the posts in the Suppliers forum: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/95123-reo-grand-opening-sale.html

Don't try to read it all, it's the largest thread on the entire forum, but just start at the last msg and work your way back.

Good luck finding one you like. I'm really impressed so many new vapers are looking at the mods!

If you can stand to wait about a month, NotCigs will be releasing a new variable-voltage type with a thumbwheel voltage adjustment and a $100 or less price tag for a full kit. This is their prototype:
