Hi all

I'm new to vaping and started over a week ago with the wife and we haven't touched an analog for a week and a day :)

Anyway I thought this would be a good place to get help and chat about many things vape related so hi :)

I have a Lavatube on the way and was wondering if the ICR-18650 (2200mah) battery would work in a Bolt mod?

Cheers

I think they have an extension ring to use to fit 18650's in them instead of the 18500's, so, probably but I can't be 100% :D

You might need a little rubber insulator for the lavatube if you're using the slightly bigger batteries. I got one from freedomvape but they've moved to spain so I'm not sure what the deal is there if you have one or not already. Not really essential unless you're going to take it outside in the rain or plan on sticking metal things in the exposed cap threads.

Welcome yo

lol agreed with the wifes stealing stuff as I have read on a forum somewhere that a guy misses his Orion due to wife ninja tactics and as for the rubber insulator for the lavatube its coming as a kit with those battery's so should be ok but will wait to see.

Might hold back on the Bolt as she has her eye on the GGTS now lol

Thanks for the great reply's

You're getting the new Ver 1.5 of the lavatube. Unlike the original release, they'll accept protected 18650s without taking a chance of the bottom cap not fitting. At least I hope those ICRs are protected. The Bolt needs an extension (about $8) to use an 18650. Big jump from a Bolt to a GGTS. Better compromise and get her a Silver Bullet before she discovers the Odysseus and all that stuff!!

I agree, I am new to vaping tho I do own a silver bullet and I am absolutely in love with it. My husband bought me the kick for mothers day which makes it even better. I bought him a provari for his graduation this past saturday. But I do have my eye on the penelope for my next purchase. But I think my silver bullet will always be my right hand man tho:)

Thanks Chrissie will check those out....

And yes sailorman its the 1.5 is that a good thing ?

Yes, a very good thing. It is a major, major, major (did I say that enough?) improvement over the original version. I have the original version, and I'm pretty happy with it, but every flaw I can think of, except it's stodgy looks, has been corrected in version 1.5.. The current limit has been boosted to 3.2amps from 2.5, so now you can use dual coil cartos. They fixed a problem with voltage sag as the battery drains. It has an improved OLED display that also shows the resistance of the head and the endcaps have been redesigned to allow protected batteries. I have heard that there will be another revision to address the aesthetics in a few months. The version 2 will look like the stainless version 1's, with an ego compatible top cap. If they bump the amps to 3.5, it should function so close to a Provari that you wouldn't notice the difference, unless you checked your bank statement.

It's amazing how many people keep their Silver Bullets close, despite having accumulated many more PVs. The thing about a SB is that no matter what happens to all your other PVs, it will always be working and working well. It really is an heirloom quality PV.
