Hi guys,

New member here at the forums. I just have a quick question regarding the TFV8 Baby Beast coils. I noticed that on some of the atomizers some of the coils seem to be touching each other. The metal/plastic ring at the bottom can be removed and some of the coils (not all) seem to be touching each other. This seems to vary per type of atty though. On all of the T8s I tried out, none of the coils were touching (I took them apart after they burned out). So far though, on two Q4s, a couple of the coils have been touching each other.

Is this normal for this type of atty? Or should I be cautious about this sort of thing? I don't want to short anything out or risk blowing myself up.

Your input is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Which part of the coils are touching? If it's just the coil legs, no problem. If it's the coil wraps, still probably not an issue because the wire will oxidize with heat and become electrically isolated anyway. Can't remember if those coils are kanthal or nichrome but no problem either way as long as your res reads close to the rated res printed on the coil.

Welcome and glad you joined. It's a good idea to ask and error on the side of caution.
