New member saying Hi

Hi,
I just joined and wanted to introduce myself and hope to be able to contribute to your group. I tend to be quite wordy in writing so I hope that's ok.

I live in PA all my life. I have 1 grown daughter (22 yrs old) engaged to be married on 7/24 and out of the house. DH and I have a remaining toddler in the house, named Safi Sue who is a 4 yr old Boxer dog. I have started smoking cigarettes when I was 18 yrs old and I am now 50. Last Nov, after a routine Chest X ray for allergies, they found a nodule in my lung. It's too small for biopsy but I'll go back in June for a re-check. I quit smoking that day. My allergies are now non-existent and I am optimistic for the future.

I look forward to getting to know all of you.

Welcome VapinDove! Congratulations on your daughter's upcoming marriage. Also, good job on quitting smoking. I hope that when you go back in for your follow up that all is well.

I will keep you in my thoughts regarding the lungs.
It's good you quit smoking..you will now be able to get through all the bridal stuff without having to stock up on cartons of cigs! Now it's just the medicinal brandy and Jim beam you need to stock up on!

Sandman Port is my fav for mellowing out - but very expensive!

We had a huge snow storm in PA last Tues and Wednesday and it was great not having to worry about running out of cigarettes! I use to check my inventory upon hearing of a snow storm. No more! Not smoking is liberating!

Welcome Vapindove Congratulations for your Daughter and send many good thoughts for your checkup in June that all is well.. Passed through PA when I was a little kid,, we were up north doing a family vacation to all the Battle Fields up that way... I do remember we went to a Miniture Horse Farm I thought that was way more cool then the battle fields. Us kids did our best not to let on to my Dad that we thought that way lol he had a great time walking and walking all the battle fields and we followed since he was our ride home......

We're getting more snow here in PA. We still have 3ft from last week that's not melting yet. How much snow this year for you in MI and others?

In PA, it's been a looong time since we've had big snow storms so we got laxed - now we are in wonderment like a person from the Carribbean looking at their 1st snowflake!
