I know what you mean! I've been lucky to have a few vape shops in my area where I can try flavors and suppliers out so I've tried a lot of stuff in this past week. My favorite so far has been Virgin Vapor's Original Sin (apple)... it's smooooooooooooth! and although there's no menthol in it, it has a slight cooling effect which makes it really pleasant. if you can find a shop or even a local vaping group where you can test drive lots of juices, that'll be your best bet to finding something that suits you. much luck!

I'm using 3.7 volts Don and Kgo. Also have a Kgo VV. Realize most times it's the juice/ PG/ VG ratio that may be causing the harshness in your throat. PG is also known to be an irritant. Also remember to drink lots of water as vaping is extremely dehydrating- add to that more than 4 cups of java or a caffeine based drink and extreme dehydration kicks in. I drink at least 1 1/2 liters of water per day.
Juice Components
Flavoring usually about 15%
PG enhances flavor, TH and lung hit- water like
VG= vapor and can mute flavor- thick
Nicotine- TH, lung hit and our need for nicotine. The MOST important ingredient in regards to TH and lung hit.
Standards in the industry are 80/ 20 or 70/ 30 PG/ VG. I vape 70/ 30 PG/ VG.
Realize also some have a sensitivity to PG and have to raise the VG level in their juice. Low resistance carto. clearos, attys, etc will also give a "warmer" vape sometimes resulting in a harsh vape.
Good Luck.

Yep higher VG tends to mellow out the TH and provide more vapor, it does however tend to clog up your atty or carto faster and it doesn't wick as well. Flavors tend to be a little muted with VG so if you can ask for extra flavorings added. Some places will do this for you. VG is also a little more sweet.

If you are looking for a vape that is not harsh at all try Vapor Renu.

Nu-Juice Liquid Refill

They let you customize everything with drop down menus. Their Swedish fish is very hard to beat. (so are their prices) It's actually from a recipe created by an ECF member.

I've used Johnson creek Vanilla and Menthol and the Vanilla gives me a sore throat the next day but the menthol does nothing. Any ideas as why, I'm assuming that the pg/vg ratio would be the same coming from the same company. I tried to contact them but no response yet.

I'm a noob, so take it for what it's worth, but I have read a lot of threads. It seems you may have a sensitivity to PG. Try 100% VG. As for one manufacturer making different mixes, I ordered my first two bottles from the same people and one is 50/50 and the other is 100%VG, so I wouldn't assume that just because they're both johnson's creek that they have the same base.
