Hi everyone.

I gave up smoking in Aug 2013 and recently started again but decided to jump straight onto the vaping bandwagon and purchased the basics from V2 Cigs. I have only had the kit for one day and I seem to have come across a small issue and wondered if anyone has found the same.

I have the V2 EX with blank cartridges and immediately, all was good and I was pretty damn impressed with the quality of the kit and the vaping itself. However, after just one day, I am apparently having trouble with the connection between the cartridge and the battery in that I have to crank it real tight to get the thing to work. It can take several attempts of unscrewing and screwing back on before I can vape.

I have cleaned the connection surfaces but surely I should not have to screw the cartridge on so tightly as this, in order to make the thing work. I am aware that metal surfaces will ultimately wear out but not after one day !!

Has anyone else had this issue ?

Sadly, V2 are a basic products, unnecessarily overpriced.

(please, will the US people not fight with me on this... the prices in the UK are disgraceful).

The contradiction of saying you were impressed with the quality and it stopped working is kind of worrying.

Please, don't buy anymore.

You can do better for less. Much better, for much less.

Okay, I have now moved to the Apollo Endeavour kit and must say that it is considerably better.

Although I am still pleased with the quality of the V2 EX (and it was a faulty cartridge), the Endeavour is much more satisfying and serves my practical needs better. The battery itself lasts longer and the economy of the liquid is far better. I was getting through 2, 1ml cartridges at work with the V2 EX but am only getting through half of the 1.8ml cartridge on the Endeavour, in the same time frame.

I think the Endeavour will suit me fine until such time as I finally give up again. Thanks for your help guys.

Well, what can I say.

Apollo are just as bad as V2 for taking people's money but if it's working for you, be happy. :)

When you come to need replacement tanks and atomizer heads, please don't shop at Apollo.

The tank with your e-cig is £7.95 at Apollo. You can get it for £3.49

Kanger Evod Clearomiser

The replacement coils are £9.99 at Apollo. You can get them for £6.00

Shop around. These prices soon add up. :)

Good luck.
