Hello,

My name is Roland -- I am a new member here and really I just wanted to introduce myself. I am a lifelong smoker of "medium strength" regular ol' tobacco cigarettes. A few years ago I gave up drinking, and smoking's next on the list.

On the recommendation of an online friend from another (not smoking-related) forum, I picked up the Joye eGo T starter kit. Looks great, but I was such a novice that I didn't realize I need liquid, too! So I ordered some liquid, and now I'm just waiting for it to arrive.

In the meantime I am using a cheaper one called DirectECig that I do not love. It looks like a large cigarette and the tip glows, but it's pretty weak and I don't care for the flavor. Oh well. Just waiting for my liquid so I can start with the eGo T.

If any one has some feedback about the Joye eGo T, please show me some links to other threads, etc.

Very happy to be here,
Roland

Hi Roland. I am a new member/new user with an ego T also. I am loving it!!! I bought mine at a brick and mortar. They tried to get me to get the tobacco flavored juice to start, but I NEVER liked the taste, so that was so a non issue for me. I have a fruity and some sweet juices. Going to get more tomorrow, but I'm still undecided on what kind. The only problem I am having is trying to remember to stop vaping before I get nic poisoning because I am enjoying it so much. :p

So if you think missing the taste will be a problem get some. Of course it is not going to taste like a burning ...., but it should get you through it. Other members can guide you to the best. Myself, I am elated to be away from the nasty taste.

Welcome to vaping!! Sounds like you've got a good start with a great device! I use an ego-t pass-through myself, and love it!

You'll get a ton of advice on tanks vs cartos vs attys and dripping vs everything else out there ;) I won't chime in on that subject, but I will say this...make sure to swab out that connector to your carto/atty/tank on a semi-daily basis. When I first started here, I bought some spare ego batteries off the classifieds here, and can tell you what a total lack of cleaning over a long period of time does to a charger! I had to buy a new charger just to get those batteries to charge LOL

Anyway, best of luck to you, enjoy the vaping journey!!! :D

Welcome , and as said in an earlier post , Ego tanks can waste juice and leak , for some people . Their suggestion for getting some Boge cart's , is an excellent way to go . You will enjoy the EGO and vaping a lot more , with less hassles . If you order some carto's , don't forget to order an atty or two , as well as a few drip tips . They work in both the atty's and the carto's .

Hey Roland....I've been using an eGo-T for a while. It's a nice product. As far as the attys go, there are pluses and minuses for each one--it will come down to your own personal preference. I love the tanks, personally (haven't had a problem with wasted liuquid or leaks), but I also experimented with the poly tanks, as well.

Welcome to the forum Strep. :)
The ego has helped many on the forum and many have used it in different ways tanks, carts, etc what may work for some may not be as good for others the same with e-liquid.
Nice thing about it all is we have so many options .
I have moved on to a mod but still vape my trusty ego once in a while and one would have to pry the one my wife has out of her hands as she laughs at the few mods i have.
Stubborn ole loving woman she is. lol
Enjoy

Welcome to the forum Roland, you did the right thing and registered here at the ECF.
As you can see already, this forum is a wealth of knowledge and the members are very very helpful.

I never had one of these "mall-style" ecigs, but judging on countless threads here at the ECF, it's a pretty much useless device.

Sit tight until you get your juice and enjoy the ego once you received it....
Make sure you soak the attys in white vinegar or alcohol every other day, otherwise they tend to clog-up.
As other said, the ego batteries are a good base, you may want to try carto's down the road if you have problems with the sometimes leaking tank's.

Well, welcome again and enjoy your ecig.

Welcome to ECF! You are off to a great start with an eGo. As already stated, get a variety of cartos and attys to find your sweet spot. I loved my eGo tanks for a few weeks, then cartos, then attys. It is different for each of us and exploring all options is half the fun! And juice, juice, juice and more juice!

Also...drink lots of water when you first start vaping. Double to triple what you would usually drink.

Welcome. Don't worry about cartos, etc at the moment. Once you get your juice, your basically good to go. There is a never-ending argument between people about what set-up is best. There is a bit of a learning curve, but if you encounter any problems just ask around and someone should have a (or many) solutions. I've been using an Ego-T for quite a while without any real problems. Had my first little leaking problem this morning after months of use. Nothing major, and no real juice loss. Just little things will come up occasionally that you learn to remedy. Most of all, enjoy !!

Thank you guys. I just ordered some more juice on the recommendation of a friend. I am a bit frustrated with the time the mail is taking to reach me. I live in New York City, and I can't seem to find anywhere locally that sells even simple tobacco-flavored juice, just so I can get going. Is the juice something that can not be bought locally for some reason? If it can, who would sell this kind of thing? My big tobacconist doesn't have it.

Happy Holidays to all here :)

Sup folks

I am new to this forum but not new to vaping.

I always feel bad for new people just starting out with low end devices and or atties, carts, tanks etc...all junk and soon to be out dated...but just my IMO i guess.

Unfortunately there is no ''vapor guiding angel'' but if i were to give out any advice at all it would be to skip all the low end stuff and go right for a big mod.

In the long run you will end up buying a ''big'' mod set-up eventually so why waste tons of money like so many of us have.
Research is free but the heaps of old dead batteries, atties, ect on your desk is not.

The future of vaping IMO ''which has all ready begun'' is rebuilding your own atomizers...tank feeds...all-in-one set up like this mod Best Mod up to date - UK Vapers

Anyway that's my 2cents.

Bigtiime, I found a shop two blocks from my home that sells a standard, tobacco flavored 24mg. liquid. I filled up the tank and got so frustrated that it wasn't working. I thought, "what a pain, I have to return this thing, and I want to get going now!"

Then I got home and watched this Joye Ego-T Tutorial - WordupEcig.com - YouTube video. The secret was in there! But it was so short -- blink and you'd miss it -- that I had to go back and review the section about charging the battery: you have to hold the power button down while you inhale for it to work! Once I tried that, I got a nice long "throat hit" (am I picking up the lingo yet?), followed by a nice exhale.

Anyway, I'm vaping away and loving it so far. Now I just got to wait for my other juices to show up in the mail.

So thank you all again.

Going great guys -- no analogs since I started. A few hours, but that's a start.

Question: a lot of my friends who have quit smoking went through a period when they coughed up a lot of phlegm and other gross stuff from their lungs. I assume this kind of thing will happen to me, right?

It's just the nicotine withdrawal symptoms (irritability, fatigue, etc) that I will not suffer, obviously. But the respiratory symptoms of quitting smoking? I will have them if I give up the analogs.
