Hi all!

I've been smoking for most of my life, sadly. I consider(ed) myself a heavy smoker, pack a day, maybe 2 packs if I'm out for a night with drinks. I picked up the habit at 13 & now I'm 40. The good news is that I cut down my smoking to a 1/4 & less of what I smoked before vaping! My habits are changing; no longer smoke on the street, or in the house. It's the coffee & after meal craves for cigs that I'll have to work on, but I'm not worried! I know my quit day is coming!
Happy to be vaping & smoking less.

Anyway, about these coils.... I am using a Vision Spinner with a Kanger AeroTank Mini. I was completely satisfied with that setup. I was switching out juices, so I decided to buy some new coils. A B&M shop sold me KangerTech Dual Coil Unit Cartomizers with 2.0 Resistance. I set one up & it just didn't work right. My full tank of juice literally seemed to just disappear with some small puffs taken. I tried it again... Loosened the coil to make sure it wasn't on too tight & I let the new coil get primed for 15 minutes, or so. Again the juice magically seemed to disappear & the whole unit seemed to act up.

I emailed the B&M shop that sold them to me and accused them of selling me the wrong coils. I noted that on the back of the box it didn't mention the AeroTank Mini, but did mention AeroTank & Mini Protank 3. They informed me that I was wrong & the coils were correct. I apologized and said I would try again. And I have, with no fulfillment & the same Houdini act from the e-juice.

Anyone have any ideas of what's wrong here?
On that note, does anyone know what coils come stock with the AeroTank Mini, because I want those again! They were perfect!

I appreciate your help. Other than the coils & pain in the .... changing of juice, all has been great! I am waiting on another AeroTank Mini & a Vision Spinner 2 in the mail now.

If it's not leaking on your battery post and you're not sucking it up through the drip tip the you are definitely burning through it during vaping. Iamthevoice most likely had it right. When you switch from single coils to 2.0Ω dual coils you are now using two 4.0Ω coils (+/- .2Ω) in a relatively small tank and it will just about disappear before your eyes.

Ok! Checked the original coil & it says 1.5Ω. Thank you all so much for clearing this up.
Just to clarify; when I go into a B&M shop, should I ask for a "single coil 1.5 resistance?" And should it stay Kanger to go with my AeroTank Mini & does that matter?
I feel relieved!

opolholik, I absolutely believe what you're saying. I think it might help when i get another tank & maybe add a morning coffee & after meals e-juice into the mix. Right now I'm mostly vaping Five Pawns Perpetual Check (and a little MBV Cinnamon Roll). Might go for their Bowdens Mate for that job. Darker chocolate mint vibe & opposite of what I vape now.

It went so fast I couldn't even enjoy it! I will get some new single coils tomorrow! Thanks so much.

I do have one more question... How will I know when the coils are no good? I've been washing them out & it seems to be fine. Will it taste burned? Stop producing vapor? When do I call it quits with a coil? I doubt I'm ready for rebuilding coils & all that stuff. For now I'd rather buy!

Depends on how much you vape, what voltage/wattage, and how thick your juice is. I rinse mine then dry burn them after I start getting a burnt taste. At the same time, I replace my wicks with cotton too. Cotton wicks so much better and (for me) the taste is better. Save your money and clean and re-use them as long as they keep giving you satisfactory flavor.

to ecf MachinaDe . Vaping is the first thing that has ever worked for me so I absolutely love it. I hate to admit but I smoked 40 some years. But we are smoke-free now and that is all that matters. Good luck to you and happy vaping. :)

I went to the closest vape shop looking for the original coils, but they didn't have them. I ended up 0.8 dual coils. I like the vapor production, but I can absolutely taste what i thought was the wick. Glad you just mentioned the taste of the wicks. I will head over to youtube & get with the program. It's time!
:)
