Hello, everyone. I'm a new member (1st post). I was directed here by a trusted source who frequents my favorite team fan forum.

I am brand new to vaping and it was my wife who first mentioned ecigs to help us both quit smoking. Gotta admit, I was skeptical at first. Tried a cheapo disposable and we think we can do it if we find the right ecigs.

My friend probably saved me from being ripped off by some of the VERY overpriced options out there. I'm thinking of trying instead the KR808d-1 (380mAh?) and accessories from vapor4life with pre-filled carto's and also maybe the eGo(900mAh?)) if it can be had with pre-filled carto's as well.

Aside from being unsure about the products, I'm unsure where to buy for quality/reliable/trustworthiness. vapor4life seems pretty good and they have high nicotine carto's and also have VG carto's, which if i understand correctly produce more vapor.

If any of you eVets have tips I'm open to suggestions, but let me tell you what I want: a simple, pleasurable vaping experience that is quick, easy, and reliable. I don't want to drip, so a 2-piece solution is what we want. My wife and I just want to charge the batt, screw on a quality carto, and get vaping pleasure that is convenient and easy to take anywhere. Price is not very much a concern as I would have spent $500 just to get started and we spend $400/month on smokes as it is(I don't want ripped-off, mind you). IOW, I'm willing to spend a little extra to avoid dripping, get higher quality/convenience/pleasure, and buy from a vendor I can trust to take care of us.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I'm new also but have bought from several places. The best deal at the moment seems to be liberty-flights.com
Good liquids from pinkspotvapors & DFWvapors. Free shipping from Nicotine Nirvana, good prices on kits also.
I have the Titan 510, & the Joye 510 they are just a like and have good vapor. Other friends have the tornado from totally wicked or the Riva from LF, which has a longer lasting battery. Keep reading you'll learn fast.

Either one is good choice, but the deciding factor is going to be battery life. If you don't smoke a whole lot, then I would go with the KR808. If you're a heavy smoker, then buy the eGo.

I would suggest buying blank cartomizers (cartos) and refilling them yourself. Most people find that prefilled's taste nasty and they perform inconsistently. Your selection of flavors is also going to be very limited. Filling yourself will save you money and give you a much better selection. It's not hard to fill them, either.

Welcome to the forum.
I started vaping @3 weeks ago. I went with an ego from liberty flights, basic 650mah kit and 15ml of juice, cost me $50. Using juice and empty catromizers has been the most satisfying for me. The boge cartos are super easy to fill and top off. Make sure you get plenty of juice; I almost ran out and drove my wife nuts waiting for the mailman to arrive.

Welcome Toeknee, I'm very new here myself. Thanks to what I've learned here I placed my first order from lifeflight on Friday.
Now I'm like a little kid waiting for a new toy. You will find the people here are the greatest & always willing to help. I don't know if this will help you (or if it will even work) but here is the link to my first post. Good Luck. Bob.

Hi, Also new member. Trying to figure out this web site still and my e-cigs. I bought the Smokestik starter kit and I do not like the taste. Do I have to keep puffing away on this thing till the cartomizer stops producing vapor so I can refill it with my own flavor? I have not took it a part yet to see what is inside but do I have to wash it out too to get the Smokestik taste out completely? I purchased some different flavors from another web site and ordered the 7.5ml bottles, it that too small? And finally with a cartomizer what is the best mix of VG/PG. I smoke light 100's for years so I dont need too much of a throat hit but I also dont want to ruin the cartomizer, I heard certain mixtures can gum them up. Thanks everyone for any answers you can provide!!!! And I'm a Viking fan so Go anyone that is against the Pack & Bears!!!!

Hi all!! Im also a new member, and have been vaping for about 2 weeks. Im making my own juices now, and its very exciting experimenting on flavors. I started off with a Vapor 4 Life vapor kind KR808 auto kit, and a KR808 manual kit for my wife. Loving the vaping benefits. Already seeing a difference in my wallet and ready to enjoy the health kicks too.

Any feedback from anyone on the V4L KR808's or the 902 manual kits from CigEasy?.. I wana make sure i got a good kit.

You can just rinse out your cartomizer under hot water in the sink. Make sure that you cover the drain with something in case you drop the carto! You'll have to let the carto dry before you can use it again. Some people use a hair dryer to make them dry faster.

I'm not a big fan of TH either, so I use a 50/50 or a 60PG/40VG mix. The juices still have good flavor, great vapor production and only a slight (if any) TH. I use all sorts of juices from clear to very dark and haven't had any problems with my atomizers or cartomizers getting gummed up. Just clean them out on a regular basis and you should be golden.

If you order seven 5ml bottles you might want to put in another order when you get them. 35mls of juice will probably last only a few days, maybe a week depending on how much you vape.

Good questions from the other noobs, especially for right mixture of VG/PG. We smoke MB 100's ourselves, Misupnorth.

Thanks to everyone for the help. Gotta tell ya, though, filling our own is NOT going to work - at least to begin with. Maybe after a short period of time dealing with the pre-fills we'll change our minds, but for now we're ONLY interested in the pre-filled carto's. Ease of use in the beginning in going to make a big difference for us in whether we stick with it or not - and we want to stick with it. I work, go to school, and have 3 kids so I can't be wasting all my time with this. We honestly just want to get an easy, good experience that keeps us off the smokes and we really are willing to spend for that convenience and for quality.

Before I came across this site and got more info from my e-pal we were perfectly willing to shell out money for GS or even WC if we could get what we want from it, which is what I've already stated. Heck, I'd still spend that kind of money for it if it really worked. I'm not concerned about start-up costs and as long as it's cheaper than smokes I'd be willing to spend what it takes on an on-going basis.

Thanks to everyone again for your input on this. I hope I can find the answers that I need to make a good and wise choice that fits with our needs/wants.

This is exactly what I don't want to deal with. No offense to anyone, but it's just not for us right now. Maybe later.

It's not so much about money as it is quality. Spending more money doesn't mean better quality in the vaping world, trust me on this. I started with GS and by the end of the first week I was on this forum and ordering a Riva. GS cost me over $300 and it was pure junk. The Riva cost me $50 and it's still my fiance's main device. I've moved up to mods and he's tried them, but didn't like them.

Is vaping cheaper? You bet. My fiance and I were spending about $300/month on cigarettes. Now if we spend $100/month on vaping, we've gone on a spending spree. There are some months when we don't spend anything, especially since I started making our own juice.

I am a noob who just a week ago purchased a Riva 510 after reviewing this forum for a couple of weeks. I was determined to get the prefilled carts for the exact reason you are speaking of. However, I was so enticed by some of the flavors I was reading about and the fact that so many were saying they found they did NOT like the tobacco flavors that I decided to try to fill my own with flavors I might like, such as coffee flavors.
I was very apprehensive about doing this because of the time and effort it would take and I lead a very busy and hectic lifestlye.
I can tell you that filling your own cartomizers is a very quick process and the carts last a long time. Because I got the Riva 510 (same as eGo), the battery lasts all day and the carts I fill in the evening and I am ready to go even if I am away from home for 12 or so hours. I've yet to get thru a full cartomizer during the day.
I think that is what everyone else is trying to convey. I was confused and it all sounded like "time" involved in filling carts that I simply didn't have. That is FAR from the case, you can fill a cart in the time it takes you to open a prefilled cart. You can fill several at a time and recap them and have them available a week at a time even.
Your choice of course and I respect where you are coming from, but after getting my ecig and trying the filling method I was hooked, and it seemed so complicated reading about it.
In any event best of luck, I love mine and chocolate and cappuccino flavors for me are the BEST!! I don't even think about an analog now because these flavors are so awesome.!!

That's just what I'm saying. If the money made a difference I'd spend it. It seems that isn't the case very much at all. Maybe once we get the hang of it we'll mix our own and all that.

Has anyone tried the vapor4life Vapor King's? What about the Prime Vapor redboro's? The redboro's come in a 36mg, which I think is worth a try. They also have some other flavors I'd like to try, but like I said, I'm open to suggestions. Of course those would go with the KR808 batts, but what about pre-fills for the eGo, which I want to buy at the same time and give a try as well? Are eGo's compatable with 510 and/or Riva? I've looked around for all this but after a while it just gets turned upside down in my mind.
