Hello everyone,

I've been doing a bit of online research on electronic cigarettes for a while and there are a lot of things I've been hearing. I'm a curious guy and would love to know more about electronic cigarettes, so be prepared for some questions! I've been hearing that Green Smoke, Blu, SafeCig, and V2 are the best brands out there. What makes these brands better than the current ones out there?

I've also heard that currently, the consumers are waiting for the "iPhone" of the electronic cigarettes, meaning they are waiting for a revolutionary model that excels all others in almost every single aspect. Is this true? What part of your favorite model do you love most and what specific feature do you look for in an electronic cigarette?

I am interested in the JOYE EGO and JOYE 510 models. I am familiar with a new supplier who carries these products, and apparently the general consensus so far is that they are fairly popular, is that correct?

Anyways, enough with the questions and whatnots. Here's some background on my person, if you would like to know:
My father is an avid smoker and he stumbled upon electronic cigarettes. My entire family is really excited with what the ecig can do and I am hoping that he will be able to stop smoking entirely by using this product. I've read many success stories and hopefully I can add onto it later in the future.
I don't know much about the ecigarette and I've been browsing this forum for about a week. The people here are very nice and I'm hoping I will be treated in the same way :p I am planning on starting up a blog about my findings as a newcomer to electronic cigarettes and also am planning to help a friend of mine who will be a new supplier of ecigs as well. So if you are interested and would like to help me out please let me know!

Regards,

The brands you mentioned aren't better, they just advertise more. They're overpriced versions of the same ecigs that you can purchase cheaper.

Good thing you came here first!

I quit smoking using the Ego from Liberty Flights that I purchased for $29.99. Ordered a box of cartomizers (cartridge & atomizer that fits on the battery).

The ego has a battery that lasts about 8 hours and is extremely versatile. You can drip juice onto your atomizer, use tanks, use cartomizers, use cartridges & atomizer. Very easy to use and like I said versatile.

juice is the second key. Purchase juice from a juice vendor and fill your own carts/cartomizers. Tastes better and cheaper way to go.

Good luck!

Here's the link to Liberty Flights website- On the top left click the 20% off button

There are lots of good ecigs out there but you mentioned the ego, and that's what I have and where I got it. The Joye ego and Riva are the same pv, just different brands. Riva is a great pv and is $10 cheaper. I have the Joye and Riva and don't see much difference except the button is a soft button on the Riva and it has a gold band instead of silver.

Welcome to ECF! I bought similar models to the Blu and GreenSmoke (Sure Smoke) from a mall kiosk. After about two weeks, I went back to analogs, as the battery was crud (couldn't charge 'em up fast enough), and the experience was pretty poor. That was also two years ago, and I'm sure the technology has improved.

I came to ECF a couple of weeks ago, and researched, and researched, and a local DFW member pointed me to a nearby brick-and-mortar. I was able to visit this retail store, and got to try and sample before I bought.

I ended up with the eGo-T (eGo with the tank system), along with some cartomizers and juice. And have I been vaping like crazy! And with ABSOLUTE joy in the battery life (650mah, I believe). It lasts all day, even with constant vaping. Now, I'm on a crazy spree to find what every flavor in the book tastes like, but I digress...

There are multiple varieties of PV for you to choose. For newbs, like myself, the eGo/Riva PVs are great starter units. I like mine so much, I may not evolve to the higher capacity stuff, or mods. But straight out the gate, I sure wish I had the eGo when I started two years ago, and totally bypassed the mall kiosk.

Good luck and best wishes on your journey!

Welcome to the forum. I'd agree with the others that the ones you mentioned are far from the best. The one that works for you is the best. There are plenty of good people here that can help. It's also a great place for moral support. The hardest part will be finding the right juice. With PG and VG and nic levels to worry about and all those wonderful flavors. At least you found us and that's a great start.

I would stick with a supplier that is listed in this forum or that the experienced vapors suggest such as Swedishfish. Both the models your looking at are good ones (Ego or joye 510).

As far as I know there is no "Iphone" e-cig coming. Right now there is no perfect one size fits all e-cig and never will be, which is okay because we are all different. We all didn't smoke camels either.
