Hey everyone!

Wanted to introduce myself. My name is Stephanie. My boyfriend and I made the switch to vaping 11 days ago and haven't touched an analog since. We started with a V2 starter kit and prefilled cartridges. My boyfriend did some research online and, long story short, we're lucky enough to have a vaping store here in town where we were able to go sample a ton of different products. He wound up upgrading to a Leo. I stuck with my V2's and bought some new cartridges and liquids (I probably have the lingo ALL wrong here, sorry for my noob-ness!)

Anywho! After creeping on these forums for the last couple of days I have learned that I was a fool for purchasing kits from a store. We spent twice what we would have if we had looked online. And that I too need to upgrade to a better system than the teensy weensy V2's. I'm considering a KGO...?

So that's it, in a nutshell! Great to find such and informative and enthusiastic group of like minds!!

Hi Stephanie! Congrats on 11 days analog free and welcome to the forum! Don't worry about sounding like a noob - you don't! And anyway, we have all been there. Also, many of us started out with more expensive (or downright bad) devices at first. Don't think you are a fool!! Its all good, because it made you guys quit smoking and you did find us! This is absolutely the BEST place for learning about vaping. You will not meet nicer people anywhere - people who are very willing to help you. So don't be afraid to ask questions!! Good luck to both of you on your continued journey and happy vaping!! :)

Thanks so much! We were one of the first ones in our social circle to catch on to vaping and STILL it seems we're behind the curve when I see some of you guys have been doing it for so long and know so much! Haha! I had smoked for nearly 13 years when I bought my starter kit and INSTANTLY put analogs down and haven't gone back. It was TOO easy! I'm still waiting for a catch! I haven't stopped talking about it to every single friend I have that's a smoker, and have already convinced a couple of them to go buy kits themselves!

A friend of mine just upgraded to an EGO. I don't know anything more specific about the model and whatnot. She complains that the liquid leaks onto the battery and she has to keep wiping it dry, especially before charging. I also thought I read somewhere that EGO's are notorious for battery issues, but my memory could be wrong. I still need to do some more research before I settle on anything, thanks for the input!

Another good solution - DCT MAP Tank in Black Delryn 1.5 ohm

First, welcome. Second, don't feel like a fool. Yes it cost more, but at least you get to try things. Many of us don't have stores around, order stuff them find we don't like it. I would use the store to see what you like, then go home and order from a reputable company with good shipping rates and times. Then Use the store for a last resort if you forget to stock up on something and need it right away.

Make sure if you are staying with cartos, which I like, you get something you can fill on your own. You save a lot of money that way and it's not hard. It costs me about 20cents to fill a carto compared to $2 for a prefilled one. Just make sure you are either using a manual battery or a sealed auto one in case you overfill

Hello Stephanie. If you're interested in the KGO, there's a great vendor in Black Mountain, NC called DarkCityVapor. He sells the KGO kits and accessories. That's who I bought mine from.

Don't feel foolish for buying your kit. You've probably saved enough on cigarettes in 11 days to pay most of the cost of your kit.

Congrats on the switch. I too have learned by reading what others say. I started with an Ego t and had all the leakage problems. Some days were so bad it made it question whether I would continue. I have found that for me the answer was the biggest ego battery, 3-4 days of charge and a clearomizer. Lots of juice, good hits and far less hassle. Yippee. Good luck and keep reading.
