Hello everyone, thanks to my good friend Wayne (nestran) i found these forums.

I have been smoking since i was 14, and i am 31 now, and ready to make the change, hoping to rid myself of the nasty chemicals found in the tradional cigarette.

My name is Matt, and I am from Rhode Island
I ordered my Joy E510 kit yesterday, and am anxiously awaiting the arrival...

Thanks again for these forums, as i have already been reading all the info i can get my hands on...

:D

Hello Matt. I just got my 510 yesterday and so far, so good! The inhaling process is a little different, but the flavor is fantastic. I hope you like yours as much as I like mine so far.

How much did you smoke prior to the 510?
Is it giving you the nicotine you need to curbe your use of the traditional cigarette?

When you say different, discribe it lol

Maybe it's the "double puff" that seems hard. I guess I didn't inhale that deeply with my old "smokes", so that long second drag seems to give me too much vapor. It seems like a short one, then about 2 seconds on the long drag is better for me. Maybe my batteries will last longer?:p

I smoked about 1 1/2 to 2 packs a day of light menthols.

"double puff"
From what i've seen just 1 long drag is how you do it? Or i guess to each his/her own?

Glad to hear you used this excellent forum before making your equally excellent choice in e-cig! I bought a 510 setup from e-smokytreats, and a GreenSmoke to compare, both about 6 days ago. The Greensmoke is not getting any airtime, since the 510 is vastly superior on all levels. Greensmoke is likely to be returned. Just no comparison.

The flavors I went for initially were more sweet/candy flavors, like chocolate, vanilla and coffee. Got some flavorless 36 mg juice from TW and Lorann flavors, and been making my own juice with VG. Also sweeter flavors, like mint chacolate chip (yes Lorann has that!), and Bavarian Cream.

Here the thing though. Either the clean nic, or the VG, or PG in the juice, is killing my previously chronic craving for sweets! So now I'm wishing I had some less-sweet flavors, like tobaccos or green tea. I do like apple though.

The point is this: until you have used the e-cig for a little while regularly, you may not be able to predict what flavors might be enjoyable to you, since your body chemistry can change a fair amount, it seems.

Have fun with your new baby!

Yes welcome!

Everyone is right - this is a trial and error thing, as well as re-learning how to "smoke". But it isnt "rocket science".

The flavor thing really stumped me for about 10 days but i finally worked through it. Its kinda like analog smoking and trying different brands...

Your 510 will do you good - honest - I am still loving mine. Before you get flustered (and you probably will, over something or another) - ask here for help. This group will be glad to get you over the bumps.

...cant tell until you try would be my answer....

wife smokes 1 pack of Marl Lights a day and 24mg is a little much for her but doesnt make her sick...she just doesnt vape as much of it, nor need to.

Thats what i figured... Just dont want to waste what came with the order, so on my BIG order when i decide if i like it, i will prob drop to 18mg.

As far as starting to get the big bottles, is their a supplier list, or a preffered list of suppliers? Seems like their are a bunch, but i want to make sure i buy from someone "safe"
