I read so many posts from new folks every day about their first e-cig, and the nasty taste they get from a brand new atomizer. Some people will tell you that it's a taste that will go away after a couple of days with use, but why not simply avoid that taste right from the beginning?
Most atomizers ship with some sort of primer fluid in them. This is the cause of that nasty taste you get with a new atomizer. It stands to reason that if that primer can give a nasty taste, why not get rid of the primer to begin with? All it takes is a paper towel and a bit of lung power.
Step 1. Take a piece of paper towel and roll it up tight enough to fit into the atomizer. Be careful not to push it in, just let it sit lightly inside, barely touching the atomizer bridge. Then blow through the other side of the atomizer, the part that connects to the battery. When you take the paper towel out, you should notice that it's wet with the primer.
Step 2. With the paper towel in hand, place the battery side of the atomizer into it and blow through the cartridge side.
Step 3. Keep repeating steps 1 and 2 until you cannot get any more primer out of the atomizer.
Step 4. Put a couple of drops of e-liquid on the atomizer bridge, then put on a battery and cartridge. Now vape away. Bad taste should be eliminated.
Save yourself a potentially nasty experience and give it a try. It works every single time for me.
