Things to know about the new 510 you just received >>

IT IS NOT DEFECTIVE

It will taste like crap when you first hit it. You were warned.

You will not get the massive vapor and throat hit out of the box that you keep hearing all of us talk about.



To avoid the terrible initial taste, you need to get rid of the shipping primer on the atomizer. Blow it out. Put the threaded end between your lips, wrap the other end in a paper towel and BLOW REALLY HARD. Do this until nothing else comes out onto the paper towel. Wipe off the atty, it will be messy. Attach to battery (no cart), do 2-3 dry burns for no more than 2-3 seconds at a time. Drip some e-liquid onto the atty bridge to prime it up... 3-4 drops. Attach cart, enjoy.


It takes about 2 full days of steady vaping for the atty to break in. Whenit breaks in, you'll know it... the vapor production goes way up, the flavor is more pronounced, and throat hit comes on nicely.

Thank-you. I started vaping last week. I ordered and received an NJOY NPRO (NJ Smokes was awesome to deal with)/ which I fell in love with. Realizing quickly that this going to be a big part of my life...I also ordered the TITAN 510 this week from Totally Wicked (once again, awesome to deal with). I am totally thrilled with both....but was helpful to know about the shipping primer! Thanks

i've been looking around for decent vapes and found this forum a few days ago. i did a lot of research and thought that a 510 would be a great addition to my non smoking (analogs) life. I had vaped before from my friends 901 and i must say, it is great. it feels similar to smoking analogs (not exactly, but similar) so i decided that this was what i needed to get off the cancer sticks. i ordered a DVP9 and a JOYE 510. i hope i made the right choice.

After 6 weeks of using my 510 after 40 years of tobacco, I have NO complaints. nothing has failed, ordered extra batts, attys, liquid, etc, just outa paranoia. it has worked great outa the box. yes, it takes a day or a week to get used to this new habit, but now, I dont even want tobacco, doesnt do xxxx for me anymore. I say just relax, work thru it, dont worry about still smoking alittle, I did for about 3 weeks, maybe 2 a day, then, just thot they tasted lame. I like the flavor you get from ecigs! my favs are cappacino, bannana and menthol for the throat hit. never liked menthol in tobacco, but with ecigs (joye 510) it provides that "added" smoke feeling at 30-36mg. I currently use mostly 24mg, and am thinking I'll soon go to 18......... dont be in a hurry, it took me 40 years to get here............

Wipe off the atty, it will be messy.

how do you wipe it off? q-tip maybe? I got some tweezers that came with the 510, should i tweeze a piece of a towel or something??

Another tip : It is NOT an analog, don't try to take the same kind of "drag". most on these boards talk of a drag more like "sipping through a straw".

my first week/week and a half I was eating as much liquid as I was vaping, because I sucked on it like an analog. The slower you take a drag, usually the better amount of vapor you recieve.
