Hello I've been reading posts here for a few weeks. Finally joined today. I live north of Edmonton Alberta Canada. I tried vaping years ago with a Kangertech something & 18mg nicotine. I was coughing so bad it was brutal. I quickly gave the setup to a buddy & just kept smoking. I tried vaping again a few months ago this time with an Aspire Breeze & 36mg nic salt. Within a couple weeks i quit smoking without even really trying. However having that 1st coffee & a vape when I wake up isnt like having a smoke. I then bought a Smok Infinix. I enjoy the hit from each device. But the vape after each meal isnt as satisfying as a cigarette. A couple weeks later i purchased a Kangertech Top Evod. It's working well. But still something is missing? I've been using all 3 devices & carry them a usb cable & the breeze charging dock everywhere i go. I'm not craving nicotine but still I'm looking for more? I would really like to find a tobacco flavor juice that tastes like tobacco as everything I've tried tastes more like some type of dessert. I keep buying different ones when i see them. A few days ago my order from Dash Vapes in Toronto arrived. I purchased a Joyetech Exceed D19. I am loving the hit I get from it!! It's the closest I have tried that "feels" like taking a drag off a smoke!! Today is day 63 without a smoke and I've been totally cigarette free!! Not sure what's next for me on my vaping journey? Definitely will be buying more tobacco e liquid till I find one I like & possibly just buy a few D19's to have as a back up as I'm really enjoying the device.

Sounds as if you have had quite a journey to find your right vape. So happy it is working out for you and that you have joined us at the ECF.

Tobacco hit and flavor is pretty much a personal thing. I tend to like Desert Ship and sometimes add a few drops of Pure Cig Flavoring, which provides that "ashy" taste. Too, going with a higher PG to VG ratio can often help to provide a better "throat hit."

Just what works for me; others I am sure will have other suggestions.

That undefinable "something" may not be your setup or device, but your brain kind of detoxing from all the chemicals that do other stuff besides nicotine in the brain. Certainly you can try other liquids and certainly finding juices you like the taste of can help. However, when I detoxed and still sometimes now I used whole tobacco alkaloid juice to help with all the alkaloids in tobacco like MAIO A and B, both responsible not so much for that nic'd up feeling but the feeling of satisfaction and satiety that comes with tobacco as well.

I was a 3 ppd smoker and I still had a hard time, heck even TAR is an MAOI, believe it or not. Some folks don't get much out of the experience while others find it helpful (I am in the latter camp). Oh I was still plenty miserable, just not about to chew through my own arm.

Efficacy and price in order manfuacturers:
Aroma--gold standard and you will Pay
Umbavapes/Ohm's vapors cheaper but I believe less potent.
Mother's Milk don't bother I noticed nothing much besides "Man, this tastes and looks exactly like DIRT."

Just a thought.

Welcome and congrats on your success so far!

Just remember though, no vape will taste like a burning cigarette. And after you get used to vaping, you probably will wonder why anybody would want that nasty taste to begin with. For my tastes, the dessert flavors are the way to go. Cookies, cakes, and custards oh my!!

Welcome to ECF and congratulations on stopping smoking. When I first started vaping I too didn't want any of the flavored ejuice. The clerk at my favorite vape shop helped me out and I started vaping unflavored 24 mg/ml ejuice. The ejuice helped me to quit the cigarettes but I soon started adding flavoring. I wish someone had mentioned NET tobacco to me back then. What is now ironic, after 4 1/2 years vaping I am again enjoying unflavored ejuice with 6 mg/ml nic. I think the next batch I make I will see about lowering the nicotine to 5 mg/ml. Anyway, congrats and I wish you well on your vaping journey.

You don't say what juices you use, but yes - as a 45 year smoker that needed that throat hit & feel - NET's are fantastic. I quit well over a year ago, and don't crave cigarettes anymore, but just a better vape sometimes. I diy tobacco flavors, because I never found a really good ready made. Even the diy's, although far better than any store bought juice, just don't compare to a NET flavoring I recently tried- worlds better than what I'd been vaping.

Glad you found a satisfying set-up. For the D19 are you using the .5 coil or the 1.2? I was a heavy smoker - been vaping for quite a few years now. I had found a really great tobacco flavored e juice and then the company closed. Since then I have not found a satisfying tobacco and I switched over to mainly vanilla, vanilla tobacco, coffee and caramel and it satisfies me.

You’re doing this all the right way. Keep on trying new stuff, keep evolving.

For me, I agree no juice tastes like a burning smoke. And I was a die hard Canel/Marlboro girl. I would go without before smoking any other brand, so I knew when I started vaping there was no point in trying tobacco flavored juice. It was bakery all the way for me. Bought some good ones and some not so good. Learned to diy.

No matter though, because whatever your preference is you kind of have to kiss a lot of toads to find one that suits you, and you seem up to the challenge.

Hi and welcome from quebec! I help folks around here switch to vaping. I find that many folks feel like you, the challenge is that no ejuice will ever taste like a cig. Now, that said, there is a canadian vendor called premium ejuice samples that carries black note net tobacco juices out of toronto. Many folks like those as they are from real tobacco leaves but they are quite dear. Again they taste like a cigarette smells before you burn it. People who love blacknote loooooooove it, those who dont find it yuck! Everyone is different, just as no smoker is the same as the next even if they smoked the same brand in the same amount.

I also love mlvs trifecta, it is very much like halos tribecca, available in both salt and regular ejuice, its like a non burning cigar heavy tobacco with caramel and vanilla notes. An interpretation of ry4 and really well loved but many ex smokers. Again, you need to change your mindset but many folks i know transitioning like that in a pod device 40mg salt with their morning coffee. 12 Monkeys is another great canadian juice co, i am so glad that we now have really good juices in canada, gone are the days of yucky juice unless we brought it accross the border. I have never had it myself but i know many people who love their pantas pipe juice, its a pipe tobacco with chocolate and vanilla that would go nicely with coffee. I have enjoyed every 12 monkeys juice i have ever tried however, which is a testament as i am super picky and a real foodie.

The biggest thing is to change your mindset and a flavour you love tobacco or not with your coffee plus to use something like a high nic salt in the morning to replace your nic level quickly. As vaping will never taste like burning leaves as there is no burning, keep experimenting. Maybe something like cinnamon danish would please your palate? some folks feel that they keep craving those last few smokes until they getaway from tobacco, others find thinking about it as their pipe or cigar juice gets their brain on side. I also recommend changing your coffee ritual. Make it a real treat with fresh ground beans, a french press, full cream etc- whatever seems delightful to you - maybe its fancy starbucks in your keurig with whip cream and shaved chocolate just vape while you make it. Aim to have one or two really great cups mindfully rather then tons of coffee. Try to keep whatever juice you find you love for only nic replenishment purposes, like after sleep, a stressful event, alcohol, or a long period withuot vaping so it stays 'special'.

Hth and vape on!

I was a very heavy smoker for 32 years @ least a pack & a half a day. The last four or five years I've been @ least 3 packs a day. Plus I loved to smoke cigars. Usually a few everyday. That is why I have been searching out a tobocco flavor. Just looking for something that I am used to & enjoy.
I've tried various e liquid. Here is a sample of the nic salt I have tried. Nkd 100, All Day Vapor, Dash Vapes brand, & Rocco's Tobacco "Tundra." I've also tried 18mg freebase in a couple of different tobacco flavors. I was told to try 18mg freebase in my pod systems? I've been thinking maybe I should buy a jug of 24mg freebase? Just to see if it will satisfy my craving? I find I don't get the same satisfying hit from freebase? The 36mg nic salt is definitely more instant relief from the nicotine craving. It seems like I have to take 50 hits in a row to get relief from freebase. I did buy a couple of 24mg nic salt & I get relief but the 36mg is quicker to give the "nic fit fix." I will look for the NET & WTA juices to see If I find a flavor I like. Blacknote is one I'll look for. I like the 1.2 coil way better in the D19!! Thank you all who have responded & welcomed me into the forum.

Welcome and glad you joined.
Most vapers will agree that vaping and smoking are two very different taste generators. One is likely to shorten your life and the other is infinitely safer. The following discussion may give you some ideas about the variety of tobacco vapes.
Favorite tobacco flavoring discussion - Tobacco flavoring discussion only
I've tried various e liquid.
One of my favorite tobacco vapes is a Ruyan 4 (Ry4) plus caramel and other taste additives similar in DIY as Tribeca (Halo) &/or Trifecta (Maple Leaf Vapes).
