What we need is single coil, 22mm, easy wicking, short tank (2ml-3ml) interchangeable airflow from 3mm-2,5mm-2mm from DL to MTL. Top fill and good looking. :) Thats will be all.
That would be the Merlin Mini however it's a tad bigger than 22mm. It's a fantastic rta and after trying a few single coil rta'S, The Merlin Mini still is #1

How are they making this one leak free?

I have the older version and I like it except for the leaking. Not interested in this upgraded model because I don't want something that holds less liquid...plus I ordered an OBS Engine Nano.
The Merlin Mini is leak free. I have experienced 0 leaking when wicked correctly. To be honest, The Merlin Mini is better in terms of flavor than the engine nano. That said, I still use my engine nano alongside the Merlin Mini as its capacity is nice.

Looking forward to it myself, While I do like the OBS engine, I find the Nano lacking, its a nice tank but I find the flavor and density a bit lacking compared to many, even with airflow changes which it needs.
You are correct. The flavor on the engine nano is not as bold or dense like the Merlin Mini.

I've heard/read various reports on the tastiness of the Engine Nano. I hope it'll be good :(

I'm a guy with both. From my 100% unbiased and honest opinion, I would say the Merlin Mini is better. The engine isn't 'Too bad' which is why I still use mine. The capacity is definitely a plus which makes it a great tank to go out and about with.

I'm going to say the Engine Nano (bottom airflow) is much better flavor than the regular Engine (top airflow) but the Merlin Mini is better flavor than both. Just my opinion. The drawback on the Merlin Mini is the 2ml tank.

Kind of the reverse of my experience, Engine when coils are tight to airflow is much better for me, Nano, only way I get it close to the DC Engine is plugging the indirect secondary airflow. I do like both Engines, I use both, the two biggest strong points for them is anyone should be able to wick them, and 100% no leaking on the top of the mod.

MM is definitely better for flavor to me as well, and I agree the capacity kinda sucks, not great if you don't like filling fairly often. Sure wish Augvape would make a longer chimney/tank for it. I've also thus far had the MM leak out on me.

When the heck is Augvape going to put out some more info on this?!
It's been over two months since the initial announcement - that's like two years in vape time.
I think they have been focussing on the Merlin RDTA which is why we haven't heard much about the Merlin 22. Their RDTA is looking really good. I'm loving what they have done. I will definitely be getting one of those to see how well it performs. The huge build deck, centre filling etc is just amazing. Their pricing on it is also good.

There's definitely a market for 22mm tanks. The iStick Pico is a very popular mod and it can't take 24 or 25mm tanks.

Absolutely there is a market for 22mm /23mm tanks.
Pico and Pico Mega are very popular here in Germany, and anything bigger than 23 mm won't fit on the Picos.
And many users here have a eVic VTC Mini. Technically you can screw a 25mm atomizer on it, but it looks ....ty, most owners of a VTC mini will also prefer 22 or 23 mm.

I never really understood the fashion of the 25 mm atomizers.

I am a big fan (and frequent user) of the original 23 mm Augvape Merlin.
On the merlin22, i miss: the genius liquid control of the orginal Merlin, and the juice capacity. I think i won't buy the Merlin22. I see not gain over the original Merlin but some loss.

Have any of you tried the exo rta? It's VERY VERY similar to the Merlin but it's refined a few key things about it and has managed to overtake my Merlin mini for my number one atty spot. It's a flavor/wicking/versatility/leak free/ease of build/performance BEAST!!!!
Would love to hear anyone else's experiences comparing the two extremely similar devices...

Yes I've been using the EXO RTA since last Thursday and it's very good. I use it with my Therion DNA 166.

Still, I'd like a good tank that will fit nicely on my Eleaf iPower 80...something with the liquid capacity, flavor, & tight draw of the Merlin RTA. Except for the leaking/seeping, that tank has been great with cotton and rayon.
