For the Eleaf TC40W, Eleaf recommends GS-Tank Atomizers. But I'll agree with Mechx that tanks running Nautilus BVCs are great for MTL (and they're reasonably priced). Thing is though, I have a funny feeling that no matter what tanks or coils you use, they will "turn black from different juices and suck".

I vape non-flavored 50/50 12-18mg and get great coil life at low wattage. If I wanted flavored juice, I'd look on my grocers aisles for something to drink.

Maybe learn to build your own coil and cotton wick. Cotton is cheap and easy to replace. The coil itself can be dry burned if gooped up and lasts a very long time. Many are happy with a very simple SXK Doggystyle atomizer. A nice little inexpensive single coil rebuildable for beginners and MTLers.

I haven't vaped the Triton 2, but Eskie is correct that there are lots of coils you can try. I think the current "standard" now is the N2, and its BVC coils, I have the N2 and I found, however, that my coils last far longer in a Kabuki-- we are talking days longer. I have no clue why but I do theorize that it could be, since I have the 2nd generation, the extra tank size plays a role. I was pretty confused about it at first, and even started pouring in the darkest, sweetest juice I possessed in order to TRY to kill it, and it wouldn't die. I'm pleased to have better coil life given the cost of the tank. I vape it at very low airflow but the airflow is supposedly part of the genius of the design-- so it may be that. I get decent coil life at about a weekish for my 1.6 and 1.8 coils, and the 0.7 coils last 4ever.... The Nautilus coils are pretty inexpensive, which is a plus. If you don't have crazy gunk factors (I do, I can only use max VG I'm PGsensitive) or run supremely sweet or dark juices in a Nautilus 2 tank, coil life can be extended.

With that said, all factory coils will die eventually. I get reuse (x1) by soaking my coils in very hot h20 overnight, then rinsing and drying, get another few days out of them that way, and I'm happy about it.

With all that said, if you haven't tried an RTA yet, it may be the answer for you, not the N2 or another MTL tank, but I unhesitatingly recommend the Kabuki. FT has clones that are way cheaper if you'd like to find out without that kind of investment, but my understanding is the clones don't QUITE match up to the original, but it might be an inexpensive experiment to try. I like the N2 tank quite a bit, and do use it, but I vastly prefer what I have on there now, and the extra coil life is offsetting the cost of the tank, certainly! Also has a lifetime warranty, which is super pleasant for someone like me, who breaks things, to have....

I use a Steampunk Nano 120. It's ridiculously overpowered for my needs, but I enjoy the vape and the battery life so much, I really don't care. It's the smoothest and most consistent mod I've come across. To be fair, I don't have 101 mods like some folks, but I've used the IPV-5, a pico setup and I use the Aspire Zelos 75 as my backup, and they all vape fine, but I like a super heavy mod as I am clumsy. Also, TC mode isn't bad and I've built a couple SS tanks so it's nice to have that option, and the Steampunk seems to do it pretty well. I just won't take an RTA out of the house... yet... that seems like asking for troubles, honestly. :)

I'm using the Aspire Triton 1.8 coils @ 11 watts. I tend to vape dark coffee flavored juices. I only vape when I'm out drinking beers :) as I used to do when I smoked. So I don't use it much, I should expect more than 3-4 tanks from a coil right?
I'm intrigued by the N2. I loved my friends N1. I don't like the tank size though, but can't justify the price of that Kabuki. I think I should check out Fasttech clone. I really appreciate you guys helpful insight!

Anyone have experience with the N2 clone for half the price?

The N2 tank size is actually the worst thing about it IMO. I actually think it decreases the useful coil life, and for me, that means that perhaps the small size of the tank is causing the juice to heat more, or something about the airflow is off, IDK. I mean, I have gunking factors like max VG but I found my coil life significantly INCREASED with the Kabuki. If that's any justification for it. I do notice it doesn't get as hot as my N2 did when I chain-vaped it in the early a.m. But, I do get days more coil life out of my Kabuki, though I guess it's also supposed to have a "revolutionary" airflow design, but I vape mine with it almost closed.

I did buy a clone from fasttech as a backup but it hasn't arrived yet, so I can't really offer a comparison as to the differences between the two. I've heard it doesn't quite match up to the original, but I'm not sure I'd expect it to. I bought it as a backup/flavor tank since I love my Kabuki so much. But, ABSOLUTELY cannot justify the purchase of two of the originals, LOL. I find I enjoyed the vape of the N2 much more than the original Nautilus though.... I'm not a big fan of the original.
