Hello all,

I just received my Pilot yesterday, and finally got to try it out after the 12 hours of painful charging! Anyway, first impression was WOW this little thing freaking produces some major vapor and throat hit and I was very impressed. Definitely kicks the 901s but in this department. BUT after 30 minutes it stopped working, so I tried switching out the extra atomizer I bought with it, but still nothing. Then when the second battery (the smaller one) had 12 hours on the charger, I tried it out, and again everything was GREAT, but then after ten minutes of bliss it died too! I waited another 5 minutes and puffed on it and some vapor came out, but after that nada nothing!

Has anyone had this problem and is there something I can do? I am very sad now!
Thanks for your help in advance!

sounds to me like a lack of liquid issue. i have found the carts to not do very much, and need to be topped off almost immediately. by waiting a bit, it let what little fluid was left wick to the atomizer for another hit or 2. get some liquid and keep it all wet....

Thank you for all of the advice guys.... I think the problem is the batteries are duds... The charger is now flashing when charging, which I have never seen before.. Hopefully I will be able to exchange them, because I really don't wont to return it, as the little amount I got to vape was awesome.... For anyone out there looking for a mini that can hit like a pen, this might be a good choice. From the reviews I've read about the 401, I have only heard good things about the batteries, so this must just be a fluke.

Just my luck!

I just received by Pilot Hybrid yesterday and the larger battery was DOA also  I could not get the blue led light to come on at all either. This was the larger Platinum battery (so..you are not the only one having issues with the batts.) I have emailed Steve and Dan this morning..so I'm sure we'll resolve the issue. I too have received just a wall charger and was somewhat disappointed that it did not come with a USB-style charger (no biggie though). If anyone else is having trouble with the batts. arriving DOA definitely let Steve know. May just be a bad batch.

Great looking little e-ciggie though:p

I emailed Steve / Puresmoker on Friday and still no response...

Steve and Dan are opening a new warehouse this weekend; thus, you will most likely not hear back from them until Mon. or Tues. (it's on their website). Be patient, Puresmoker is known as 1 of the best suppliers/customer service reps. of our little ciggie friends. You'll hear from them soon I'm sure.

I have a question about the Pilot atomizer. Are the black and brass both 4 hole atomizers? The reason I ask is: reading a review for the Pilot on PS website mentions this...

I recommend the Platinum over the Black due to the fact that the platinum comes with BRASS Atomizers - which have four holes as opposed o two holes on the black versions.

Doesn't make sense to me so I thought I'd ask.

Thanks.

That used to be true, but somewhere around here Steve said that both the black and brass have four holes in the latest shipment...

I haven't heard back from PS yet, wondered if you had. I think the prob is the charger. I've been keeping an eye on mine. Sometimes it's going to full green inside 15-20 min. 4-5hrs later and my batteries are crap. So I check and if it has I take battery out, unplug and start over. If it takes about 2hrs flashes red to green about every 5 seconds, then green flashes, then full green at 4-5 hours, I get 2-3hrs out of the short and 4-5 out of the long. It's a pain babysitting the charger, but at least I'm getting to use my newest ecig. Waiting on the USB chargers before I order another.

HTH.

I ordered one black and one brass atomizer (received Thurs 19th) and both do have 4 holes.

I really only get 3 hours out of my batteries. But I'm sure it is because I vape A LOT. I haven't had any problems with my charger showing a false green light though. My charger never turns green unless it has been charging for at least 3 hours. Having one charger is a pain, as soon as those USB chargers come in I am getting one, and another battery or 2.

I have had my Pilot401 for five days now and haven't smoked an analog since. I guess I'm lucky: I tried one puff on my old brand (Winston) and it tasted like something I had raked up from my yard and lit up. Tossed it quick!

So now I'm hooked on vaping. I'm already starting to feel better.

Concerns:

Of course I didn't read the material closely enough and started right up without the 12 hour charge...did that for a day or so, back and forth with the two batteries. I don't really see any difference now that I have charged them properly. I do hear that Lithium batts are pretty forgiving, so I think I'm all right.

I have dripped a bit but after reading on here I am afraid of killing my atomizer. --and that brings me to:
Just how fragile are those things anyway? Should I expect to have to replace it?

That takes us to:
--So yesterday I ordered a complete new starter kit exactly like the one I just got. It isn't much more than buying another battery or two (I really need three to get through the day if I'm not close to a wall outlet), another atomizer....etc...and the extra charger will be a help. Plus several bottles of juice. YOW!!!!!

Good point.... I'm sure I they will get back to me shortly, as their customer service is the reason I have ordered nearly every e-cig I own from them. Unfortunately patience is not one of my strengths!

No I didn't hear back from them... I stopped bugging them however, because I know they are busy, and I got my new Joye510 and DSE-804 in the mail from couple other places, so I am not suffering.... Honestly, I have barely touched the Pilot for the last few days, because the battery issues are just such pain to deal with. Kinda gotten over it and will just take it as a loss.
