Even though I'm a Newbie , I'd like to offer other newbies something I recently learned and corrected.Perhaps your experience over the last few weeks has been similar :

1. Your elation with your vape unit and the Nicjuice you probably ordered right along with it was more than thrilling and you found it was so easy to forget about analogs ...

2. Day two or longer and you've been experimenting with your VG and nic36 ,24,18 or whatever you bought .You make a mix to your own liking, perhaps smoother or a mix that lets you conserve batteries because you need to use a few less volts and are at a real 'sweet spot' ; perhaps helping the smoothness is one of thousands of flavor enhancers.

3. A week or more and maybe your vaping has increased, battery recharging is now occurring less than 3 hours per rotational battery charges .

4. You begin thinking you should have bought a larger unit or bigger batteries . vaping is somehow getting a slight bit annoying ... you even find as you hold the unit you absent mindedly are going after your analog pack if you've kept them in the house ; you stop short several times a week or a day while finding that reactionary urge occurring .... It's almost like the last 'chain' vape ignited the urge for an analog.

5. 'Something's missing' after day 8,9,10,etc .... your tongue is a bit thick feeling, your jaws ache slightly by the subtle increased long pulls you've been making frequently on your unit with your new mix .

A new experience is that you now believe your batteries seem to be running hot in spots but a more careful examination shows the battery is fine, the heat is just traveling down the unit from the hotspot of the atomizer coil segment .

Try this ... raise your nic level up substanually and in less than 12 hours see if the joy will be back like the first day your unit and juice arrived and you were elated.

The urge to not only be overzealous ,learning just how fast one can stop using analogs starts to become a subtle and impractical 'rush' of 'Delusions of Grandeur' where the new vaper thinks the immediate next step is curtailing nicotine as incredibly fast as possible , a rush and a race that has no basis in either logic nor practical application after the years and years of analog dependence ...

Analogs couldn't add the newest distraction that vaping now provides ... everything from strawberry creme frappe to iguana with turtle sauce flavorings, all which distract one from making certain the nic levels are right before confusing the 'bite' of citrus or some other peppery flavor that conceals the fact you've dropped the nic levels too low.

I'm into home tanning and in just the reverse of vaping, so too do newbies want to get 'instant gratification' from the actual SLOW 'hobby' of tanning, and suddenly 2nd degree burn themselves from elation with their over enthusiastic efforts to suddenly look like MR. T ...

This newbie did all of the above and learned something .

I just want to once again pass along what mentors seem to need to remind some of us over and over again ... let the victory over burning paper and tobacco be your first and strongest feeling of accomplishment ... My doctor told me there is less concern about Nicotine among professionals than about the way we 'carried' it to our bloodstream ... slow down and enjoy one victory at a time !

Yah Fatcat you got that right ... I realize now it's really important even perhaps before one even orders a vape unit ,to decide what the overall intent and final goal is ... To stop relying on both analogs and vapeing eventually ? To just deliver nic differently ? To start a new additional 'perk' of flavored nicotine ? ... or slowly weaning down a bit on nic intake ... I think that until the goal is clear in one's mind, the overall reason to vape becomes questionable in and of itself ....
