The good and bad news:

Good news: The 18650 Precise Prototype is pretty kick ... (i'm biased) !!

Bad/Good news: Heard from the Machine shop today and have the final per unit costs, not including my labor polishing/fitting/assembling them and it's not cheap. If you got in on the Pre-sale, you did good:)

Bad news: The shop also is still estimating 2-3 weeks for both units to be finished. He said he's bringing people in on the weekends to try to make it go faster. Let's cross our fingers. I'll keep you updated.

I already knew this was going to be the case, so no surprise to me here.

Bad/Good news: Heard from the Machine shop today and have the final per unit costs, not including my labor polishing/fitting/assembling them and it's a bit shocking. If you got in on the Pre-sale, you did good:)

Glad I did the Pre-Order then. :toast:

Ahhh waiting is such sweet sorrow. :(

Yes and we thank you. Now time to put your businessman cap on. The price for the both the P16 and 18 are competitive. Don't price yourself out of the market!

And is the cost on the 16340's more than you'd estimated?

I did order the 16340 and I'm glad I got in on the pre-order but, at the same time I don't really want for you to be losing money on them.

Maybe you need to limit the production and availability on the larger 18650's and just do them all in house. That way you're not giving away all the labor dollars. Just a thought.

The T1's and Super 6's took longer to get but were also profitable for you.

I don't think a little more on the 18's would put you out of the market. Look at what the GGTS sell for. VK can't keep them in stock.. Just a thought...

People that are looking for the quality you provide will pay for it.
The ones that want all they can get for as little as possible probably wont.
Not everyone can afford to drive a porsche and probably shouldn't.

In all honesty Brock no. I am not going to get into details here, but no. The Precise is priced where it needs to be. As I said Dave needs to put his businessman cap on, and see where he can reduce production costs, laying it on the consumer and we will start calling him drouche. Nuf said!

I have to agree with Brock.

After trying most of the higher end mods, I am more than willing to pay for the quality in Davids devices and was a little surprised they came in as low as they did.

My S6s and 10440 Precises far surpass any others I have purchased, or have had the opportunity to try. (Including some costing more.)

No complaints about the other suppliers offerings, or the price I paid. Instead, I appreciate the effort and am happy to have choices. There is a market for the $25.00 box mod and up to some PVs I have seen offered at over $300.00. My hope is that all of the suppliers are profitible, so we continue have options.

Keep up the great work, David.
