I've tried the AW IMR 18650 high drain, the AW Protected 18650 2600mah, the grey ultrafire protected and the Red 3000mah Protected Ultra fire as well as two Tenergy Cr123 3.0volts and they all fit.

which grey ultrafires?
they are prob. slight different sizes. (I've seen ultrafire do this before)

perfect!
david did his homework. =)

wondering if the imr and 18650's AW fit the pila IBC charger.
It fits without the spacers ...correct?

is the fit good with this charger and 18650s?

anyone with experience with these batts and this charger?

I must say, the 18550 precise, AWs, and a pila charger....would be a Great setup.

I haven't quite done what you're asking about but I've got the Pila and have been testing it with the IMR16340s, waiting for my matching Precise. The Pila charges them to 4.14, which should allow for a long battery life. It does so very fast though, around a half hour. This left me a bit concerned so I asked Andrew (Mr. AW). He assured me that it would be fine. The chamber is precisely twice as long as it need to be for the 16340s so you may need a few of those magnet spacers available cheaply from Deal Extreme.

I use the Pila charger on all of my 3.7 batteries and it is a sweet device. Batteries come off the charger at about 4.14 every time.

Yes you need an additional set of spacers for the 123 size batteries and you have to unscrew the plastic spacers that are included on the charger for the 18650's

Regards
Jim

I agree that the pila is great.

Best charger without spending hundreds on a hobby charger.

It charges around 4.15 so yep, my batts last longer.
Its paying for itself.
and it charges quick.

no trickle charge.
I feel better knowing I'm better protected agaist burning my house down. lol

I run both protected and non protected batts (14500) in my Super6's.
I used the brass nut lock and have it so the protected batts activate just past the horn and a little deeper for the non-protected.
I was adjusting it back and forth every time but finally found the "baby bears porridge" setting.

And, it will sit on the button but I very rarely do it because I'm prone to knocking it over. LOL
