I'd suggest starting at 18 or 24 mg strength depending on how heavy of a smoker you are. As far as the flavor goes, it is impossible to find one that replicates the burning tobacco taste. I haven't vaped tobacco flavors other than the njoy king disposables, so I can't give good advice there. As far as the 510 goes, it's a decent device from what I've read. You may also want to look at the joyetech eroll there is a dedicated sub forum on that device here under model specific discussions. I haven't figured out how to link to it yet though...sorry. You may also want to look at the ego twist models. They are manual batteries, but you can find them with great battery life, tons of options for juice delivery devices, and they are less fus than the 510s or eroll. I'm only a 3 weeks or so in and I use an ego c twist at home and eroll out and about. Less funny looks with a cig a like. Whatever you do, don't give up and enjoy vaping!

Welcome Twist to our forum!

Starting nic level is generally determined by how many packs of cigarettes (called analogs here) you smoked a day. 18mg nicotine is the usual start strength for one pack per day.

Concerning finding flavors that taste like a particular brand of cigarette, or any cigarette in general, you likely will never find it. We have flavors that can taste like just about anything else that you can think of, but no one has found how to make a cigarette flavor that tastes like smoke and burning tobacco leaves. Don't believe me? http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/new-members-information/136573-tip-newbs-seeking-tobacco-cigarette-flavor.html

There are "tobacco" flavors that you may enjoy, just know that they will not come close to actually tasting like a cigarette. They can be enjoyed for the flavor which they are. If there is a vapor shop near you, I suggest going and see if they have a juice tasting bar setup where you can try all of their flavors before purchasing.

There are so many choices available to us, it may be more wise to find any flavor other than a tobacco flavor to start out with. Most people who have been totally off of cigarettes for a couple of weeks have found that when they try another cigarette, that it is almost repulsive in taste. You don't realize it yet but they do really taste that bad. Try a fruit, candy, desert, coffee, whatever; you may be surprised which flavor you like best.

Unless you are dead set on a cigalike, I agree with the above poster.
Get the spinner kit. Easier to use. Much better Vaping experience and there are dozens of alternative choices for what you can put on top of those batteries.
And they are just a little bit larger than a king size cig.

As for nix content. I was a 30 cig a day smoker and started off at 16 mg nic. It was enough for me. I did buy one 24 mg juice and it kicked my .....
In 2 weeks I went down to 12 mg and now I am using 6 mg.

Good luck to you.

Welcome. I would say to get one of these....http://www.myvaporstore.com/Vision_Spinner_Joye_Ego_C_Twist_Combo_p/vvs-c.htm, or Kanger Evod Starter Kit $29.69 | gotsmok.com and order some juice. As you will probably get more out of these. Good luck & VAPE ON:vapor:

think guys it dont have to cigalike as long as it will fit a well in my shirt pocket

I've got an evod on a good sized battery and the whole things about 5 1/2 inches and lasts me all day. Simple, easy to fill, no leaks and replaceable bottom coil you can get in just about any shop.
It just works good and makes great vapor with 50/50 PG/VG. For tobacco flavor I like Dekang 555.

Welcome! The flavors, when smoking analogs, cannot be exactly replicated by e-juices because you don't have the flame, heat, gases, etc.etc. You can get very close to the Kowboy Killers but not exact. My personal favorite flavor is Cam-Blend. A tobacco taste but subtle woody undertone. Try out the samples some of the vendors sells. That how I established my favorite vape. Spend $15 to get 5-5ml sampler and have fun experiencing all the different flavors.
