New ProTank not working

Hi,
I bought 2 protanks and just tried them this morning. One works fine but the other one I can't get the threaded top disk plate to screw all the way down onto the tank and it doesn't hit at all. I've swapped the top plate between the tanks and the problem follows the top plate. I notice that I can get my fingernail in between the plate and the tank in the suspect one but not the one that works.
Has anyone had this problem with the protanks?

I put some MBV cinnamon red hot in the tank that works and man-oh-man is that some hot stuff! Inhaling that stuff is like inhaling jalapeno juice!

That is strange. Is the post hitting the side of the suspect plate? Sounds like it may have just been a bad thread job from the get-go. All the plate does (electronically) is complete the ground side of the coil, so it could be shorting out. Maybe try checking resistance with a (known) good coil in the base and see what you come up with.

It could be the coil assembly not threading in to the base far enough to allow it to make good contact with the battery as well. That would also explain why it may not thread in flush with the tank. That is a good possibility as well.

Good luck!

I believe you are saying the Coil will not screw down tight on the Base.
In that case the center contact is not connecting to allow power through the coil.
This has happened to another ECF member. The Base is not fully Tapped and the threading is to shallow.

Your choices are
1) contact your Vender for replacement
2) Replacement Protank 510 base. - Sun-Vapers.com
3) attempt threading the base properly. Sears sells individual taps in most sizes.
