Just bought a sweet new cherry red (was limited edition thru provari) 2.5... Awesome device so far, really enjoying the combo of this and my nautilus. Odd though because whenever I check the ohms of my 1.6ohm head it reads 1.7... Out in my 1.8 ohm and it reads 1.9 for a split second them jumps to 2.0 and stays until screen goes off... Then threw on my kayfun clone which I built a 1.2ohm coil and it reads 1.3 to 1.4 (my friends 2.5 reads it at 1.2-1.3 and my kamry reads it at 1.3) Not a big deal but Provari is supposed to be spot on on its readings so just worried I got a dud. Also tried cleaning off contacts and still same result. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! :)

*26 days without a cig, very excited and happy!! :)

The Provari measures resistance "under load", meaning it will send some current to the atomizer coil and measure it - likely why the measurement changes while the meter tests it under load.

Most factory-built coils are allowed a variance of +/- of 0.2 ohm. My guess would be that the true resistance of the coil is what the Provari measures.
