Hey not sure whats going on starting yesterday, my Vamo has been showing the wrong resistance on everything I've connected on it. It will be off by like .5 - .7 ohms.

For example, I have a couple low res dual coil cartos rated at 1.5ohms when it was working right, it would read at +/- 0.1ohms (1.4-1.6ohms) but these same cartos are reading either 2.0-2.2ohm or 0.9-1.3 ohms

I have tried Vivi nova tank 2.4ohm reading at 2.8ohms, and also a brand new sr 2.5ohm carto reading at 1.8-2.0ohms.

I've tried cleaning the threads, center pin. Im just not sure how to fix this :(

Hmmm...let's see what might be happening.

* Cartos do vary in manufacturing tolerance. The resistance they quote is nominal and I would expect a 10% variation either way (but usually upwards - so my 1.7ohm cartos out of the box have read 1.9 on my Vamo)
* Cartos can increase in resistance with age as the coils get gunked up
* Dirty connections can increase resistance (although, you say you cleaned everything)
* Batteries are properly charged and connecting properly?

But it sounds to me like your PV is acting up - is it still under warranty? If so, return it but if not, try and learn to live with it...

1st, the VAMO is not known for accurately reading anything. 2nd, carto's aren't known for being perfect either.
Personally, I would just use the VAMO, adjust as you think it tastes right to you. If it doesn't work at all, I would worry about replacing it.

exactly...also take a few draws then check it

Interesting, because I just tested out the ohms check on my Vamo a couple of days ago. These were the results:

Vivi nova no. 1
Multimeter - 2.9 ohms
Vamo 18650 - 2.9 ohms
Vamo 2x 18350 - 2.9 ohms

Vivi Nova 2
Mulitmeter - 2.5 ohms
Vamo 18650 - 2.5 ohms
Vamo 2x 18350 - 2.7 ohms

If you want to be sure check the ohms with a multimeter and then compare with the Vamo readings. Its quite common for a vivi nova head, atty or carto to have different ohms to the ones specified on the packaging. The ones I tested were supposed to be 2.8 ohms and 2.4 ohms. I've had some 2.8 ohms vivis that were actually 2.6 ohms when I checked them.

Hmm I'll try and get ahold of a multimeter sometime. The one i currently have sucks thanks for the tip
