New Provari Started Burning Cartos Suddenly

Hey Guys

I have had a Provari for a couple of weeks now and have been perfectly happy vaping away all manner of juices from Vape King but tonight it has suddenly started burning my cartomisers no matter what setting I have it on. I usually use it @4.5v with my 3ohm boge cartos and around 3.7-4v with my 2.5ohm cartos. This has worked perfectly and apart from a wicking issue with one particular tank/carto it has worked without a hitch.

Today I was using it and changed to another tank/carto in it and it suddenly started burning up, this was a carto I have been using and it was working perfect half an hour before. I immediately sucked without activating the provari to flood the carto with excess jiuce until I heard the gurgling sound and tried it again only to find it was still burning the filler.

I screwed another carto in thinking there was something wrong with the other but after a few puffs it burnt again.

I readjusted the voltage to the minimum setting (3.3) and tried another carto and after about 10 shallow puffs got that acrid burnt taste again.

Long story short after trying a different battery and multiple cartos that were vaping perfectly before I cant seem to stop this thing burning cartos like it is over-volting or something. Totally bummed as I live in Australia and am going to have nothing now if I send it back and will probably take up analogues again

Wondering if anyone has any ideas or similar experiences but I think my provari is a dud :/

Using the extension cap and 18650 AW IMR Batteries provided by Provape.

I would try testing it with a voltage tester. See what voltage you are actually getting out of it.

Are you using a new juice? If so, what PG/VG is the juice? Higher VG juices wet cartos very slowly and may move too slowly through the punched holes and stuffing to keep the carto coil area damp, and then it singes.

I am having the exact same problem as you. I have had mine for a few months now. Was working perfectly, then all of a sudden a few puffs and then it's like it's shooting 6+ volts.

I have sent a message to Provape. We'll see what they say.

All the juices I tried were 30/70 vg/pg. After the first 2 cartos I tried I made sure I topped the rest up with a few drops of juice directly into the carto so they were soaked.

Yes sounds like the same issue, mine was literally working one minute and the next puff I took seemed like it was 10v or more. Have sent a msg to Provape as well.

Once you burn a carto its burned for the rest of its life. However since it is happening to freshly new and topped cartos I would definitely give provape a shout.

Only surefire way is to do an on-load voltage test. might be that something is fried and it is pushing out max voltage all the time.
