I think my third carto is going the same route,
the same symptoms as my previous one.

No bad taste yet... but I feel it's coming.

One question: should I be able to see through a cartomizer?
My first carto that's still going strong I can see through (refilled about four times now)
My second I couldn't see through (from the beginning) and eventually burned,
now my third I can't see through either...

Three cartos?!? I've been vaping for 3 weeks and I've used up dozens. I go through 8-14 a day! Since I've been refilling, I've had at least 10 burn up on me.

Dude/Dudess,

You really need to start a thread on your issue! That's an outrageous amount of anything vaping related (except nicquid) to go through...

You should be able to see through the cartomizer.
The more you vape and refill the cart the filling will start to expand.
Eventually you usually cannot see through the cart wich generally means time to replace with a new one,
as dragging on the e cig becomes harder. I have noticed the carts that last the longest generally have largest diameter in between the filling.

Just as I feared...
I use apollo ecigs at the moment, with their own cartos, and this is the second one I couldn't see through, even from the beginning.
I'm waiting on new stock from liberty flights uk to get a steel se Riva starter kit with 3 click on/off system.
Then I'm saying goodbye to this brand. The quality of the cartos just isn't on par, I guess they're not made to be refilled easily.

That does seem an excessive amount.
    8-14 carto's a day,
    I can't even imagine...

But still anyone, should I be able to see through the carto central tube or not?
And if o anyone know of a good technique to open it up again?

I've stuck a paperclip thru to open the whole. Still, a good Boge carto is a great alternative to tanks or atomizers. I only use 5 a month.

(It's 'Dude' BTW - Pete. Also, I really like your jaw-drop smiley. I'll swipe that with your permission.)

I usually keep three battery/carto sets in my hand while vaping. I need to rotate between them to keep any one of them from getting too hot and burning my lips. I generally have a tobacco-flavored, a fruit-flavored, and a menthol in the mix, from 18 to 36 strength (some flavors don't come in 36). Batteries (std or xl) last for 3-4 hours; cartos somewhat less, so I run through about a carto an hour, roughly.

This was usually the case for one (sometimes two) cartos in a pack of five for me... Some last a lot longer than others in terms of when they burn. I've made the switch to CoolCarts a few months ago from Vapor4Life which burn a little cooler than the normal ones. So far, I yet to have the problem of a short cartomizer life. Not sure if other companies sell it, but it's definitely worth looking into!
