I have a Grand that I have been meaning to send in for repair for a few months now. It was alot like this problem. If I turned the battery, it would work for a bit, then I would have to turn it again. I will have to get it out and check the tubing. Thanks alot for this thread. Oh, I also tried the hot water and it did not make a difference.
Aren't Reonauts helpful?

Does doing this slide the center connecter pin up a bit?

Here are a couple other suggestions to try while waiting to contact Rob.

First...when it's not firing, is the button going all the way down like it normally would?

Also, with the door off, remove the juice bottle and grab the feed tube at the top where it connects to the nipple and push upwards gently. Then try it again.

You can also run a nail file on the positive battery contact...and see if that helps.

OK!!! To all you wonderful REOnauts out there that helped me so quickly, a huge Thanks for your patience and wisdom.
After tinkering with the atty, I took it off of the REO and started dripping on Provari. This lasted all of about 1 hour before the atty died a painful and too early death.

Since changing the atty and sliding the center pin up I have not had a single no fire!

Again thatk you all for your wisdom, and patience walking a first time REO and feeder owner.

good to see the problem has been resolved. I know this won't be an issuer for many but i often have the same type problem with mine when I'm at work and i get sand etc into the switch it will work intermittently the button will depress but not all the way they can get amazingly dirty and still work but a clean Reo is a happy roe
