My reo is arriving today it's a woodie I bought on the classifieds. Just to get myself ready for it, I wanted to do a little research and see what coil everyone prefers to use. On my kayfun I build 1.4 microcoil with cotton. Would I shoot for the same thing? I know it will be a little different with the posts. Are there any videos of coils that anyone would recommend? Thanks!

Also, I found some "artistic wire gizmo" on amazon. Anyone ever use that? does it work?

The Gizmo is used by quite a few on this forum. The microcoil sounds fine, from what I've been told, keep your coil over .8 ohms to be safe. Super X has quite a few great video's on coils out and he's the microcoil king, he'll probably pop in soon. until then here is a link to 1 of his to get you started, just follow him on there to see the rest of his video's in the mean time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rua_l_IpBWk

If you can find the size wire you want, you can make your own coil winder.

Well I left earlier and bought the gizmo, came back to work, unboxed it, set it up on my desk, and made a perfect coil in literally 5 seconds so I'm gonna say this was a total WIN. Thanks for the recommendation! Between turning 40 and having to wear glasses to read, building coils was even harder so this just made it a total breeze. All my coils on drill bits would almost have a slight slant to them because it was hard for me to see them and hold the coil tight as I wrapped it around. I actually enjoy building them now and don't feel that frustration of dreading building one. I cranked 5 more out just sitting here so this probably one of the best "accessory" purchases I have ever made! Also, if you go to michaels website you can print out a coupon good for 40% off so I got it for like 5 bucks!

I'm popping in but just to say the gizmo is straight up. It's all I use anymore.

Yes, I'd recommend starting with the same resistance as a baseline.

You are in great hands with this bunch :)

Look forward to seeing how you rock that bad boy :)

I used the 2nd to the smallest attachment for the gizmo (not sure what they are called?) but do you happen to know what size this is equivalent to in regards to a drill bit?

I will. It's suppose to arrive today but worried maybe it will be tomorrow. I don't have the tracking number but I guess I'm staying a little late at work in hopes it will be today! I'm already scoping out another one on the reo site. :)

Go look on your paypal account for the tracking number.

I wanna say it's like 1.5 or 1.6 mm. Right around 1/16". Perfect size for micro coils :)

I keep seeing people talk about testing batteries with multimeter. Is that something I should worry about?

It's not something you should worry about, but a multimeter is handy. Actually, my battery charger (VP1) shows the voltage of a battery when I put it in for charging. Very handy. The thing is, you don't want to use a battery down too low because it's hard on the battery: it won't last as long. So it's a way to take care of your batteries. You'll get a "feel" for it pretty quickly, but when you feel your vape drop off a little, it'll be time to change out your battery. My 18650 batteries will get me through about 1/2 to 3/4 of my 6ml bottle. Somewhere around half a bottle, just change out your battery. Simple. That way you won't even have to try to feel whether or not it's time.

Once you have it going, all these concerns and all these answers will start making more sense.

Just what I needed! I'll sleep peaceful tonight, thanks! With the exception of still waiting on my reo. :)
