I just noticed that Ikenvape is back up. However, it has been several months since I last ordered from them. Looks like they have several new atomizers for sale. Can anyone recommend some Ikenvape attys for me? I mainly vape tobacco based juices with a few exceptions. I read here that 1.5 ohms is the way to go. I've only really used 510 LR's for all my time vaping, but am open to trying the 306.

The Cisco 510 LR's that I got for my new Mini are working pretty well. I have the 1.8 ohm ones. For some reason, I remember getting more flavor from dripping on an Ikenvape LR 510 than I am getting right now. Originally I had liked the Cisco's, but when I tried Ikenvape I found them to be a step above. But now that they have all these new atty's, I don't know what to get for my Reo.

You can get any atty you want. Although, the only 1.5 atty that IKV has is the 510's. Which have gotten some good reviews. Have a couple myself but, haven't tried them yet. The i06's are very popular but, they have a very tight draw. Although, every IKV atty has a tighter draw in general. So, the two I had just mentioned should be on your list along with the 1.8 ohm 306 if your a fan of these types of atties. I can get carried away and so, I'll leave it at that.

So if I get an atty to test juices, do I just drop a few drips (how many? 3? 4?) into the tip and then press the button and inhale? Do I have to press and hold the button for a sec before I inhale?

Sorry for all the questions...I'm just the FNG, lol.

You could drip 2 or 3 drops into the drip well. Then take a dry hit to pull it into the atomizer. Or what I do is to do it the same way as you would when you drip. Which is dripping in through the drip tip or directly in the atomizer itself.

Remember to prime your atty before you use it. Personally, I put in 7 drops and wait for 10 minutes before I even use it. Then take a hit and if it's dry then add a few more drips and vape away.

Congrats on a REO. You've made a great choice to get started.

So much great advise, just like juice flavors atty/carto selection is really is a personal vaping style, cost, or convenience choice. Try a few at a time until you find your sweet spot.

My only tidbit to add is get at least 2 of everything you want to try. Between the QC problems at the Chinese factories and the inherent failure of a hot coil wire, sometimes attys/cartos are just bad or have bad luck. As a new vaper you may blame yourself and get frustrated when it fact it is a bum atty. It is nice to try another if it fails.

Okay one more tidbit, order a voltage meter. The inexpensive ($9) ones work fine, compact, and are so simple to use. They are a necessary tool for atty and battery maintenance.

I've done a lot of RV'ing in my day and have a couple of really nice meters for testing batteries and such. How do I test an atty or carto to see if they are good?

YEs you are measuring resistance..ohms. SO set your meter to its lowest ohms setting. Touch the two probes toegether and let the meter settle to get the internal resistance of your meter. You'll subract that figure from you readings when you test your attys.

Thanks for the clarification! :)
