Every merchant who sells batteries should contact these guys and see if the first batteries off of their production line could be those that would work for vaping mods. (18350, 18650, etc...) If they knew the market was there, it would sure help the vaping community. According to the article, they intend to begin with small batteries, like those for cellular phones, so now is the time for everyone to contact them. This could stop all of the explosions and negative press we have been getting as a result of the explosions.

Very interesting article. OTOH not to sound pessimistic we are years away from seeing this in the vaping community because of cost alone - folks are still having a hard time paying for quality cells, regardless who is making those quality cells.

Having said that in the 2 years that I have been vaping the industry has taken positive steps toward battery safety. You can lead a horse to water... It is time the consumer steps up to the plate IMMHO :)
