Hi,
Just been shopping today, got some new juices & a Kanger Mini Protank III. Had my 1st vape on it with the new juice and started wheezing pretty bad. I've been vaping and tobacoo free for over 4 months and this has never happened. Is it more likely the liquid or the Protank? The liquid I've mostly used so far is 60%PG 30%VG, the new stuff I got is 46%PG 46%VG, could this make the difference? Also I've been on 1.2% nicotine and now on 0.9%, and the resistance on the Protank is a 1.5ohm and until now I've been using 2.1 - 2.2ohm.
Thanks!

It is possible you caught a little bit of what's been going around, last week I had a painful deep chest cough for the first time since I quit smoking 9 months ago. Sure enough like clockwork I had a slew of other cold symptoms within a couple days.

That said, the change in resistance between 2.2 and 1.5 ohms is pretty dramatic, it will hit harder. When vaping at a lower resistance, especially if you're keeping the same voltage, you need to take shorter puffs.

Also you cranked up the amount of VG in your juice. Personally when I vape 50/50 PG/VG, I feel a little short of breath after a couple days. VG is very thick and harder for me to inhale. When I vape 60/40 or 65/35 I feel better.

Lowering the nic level should reduce the harshness, so I don't think that's a factor here.

I think you changed too many things at once to be sure what it is. Try using your old liquid with the 1.5 ohm coils for a few days and get used to the draw from that, then reintroduce the higher VG liquid later and see if that's still making a difference.

Good luck! :)

I have pretty much the same problem as you do. I used to vape, during the colder winter months, juice with 80/20 PG/VG (sometimes 75/25 PG/VG or as thick as 65/35 PG/VG). But when I started vaping at 50/50 or higher VG about 4 months ago, I started wheezing and even my throat would close if I take a lung inhale. Could it be that I'm not very tolerant to VG?

I do plan on buying PG-based unflavored nic juice, mix it with the 50/50 I already have to make 75/25 PG/VG, and see if my lungs are relieved of the wheezing and constant throat clearing.

Seems the higher VG you go, the worse you become. That is pretty common. I would certainly back off as much of the VG as you can and see if that makes a big difference!!

I'll have to wait till next month to do that. I'm kinda strapped for cash now, so I'll have to put up with the wheezing for a couple of weeks.
