Been vaping for about 3 months now and I enjoy it almost more so than an 'analog'. Started with a couple slim styled auto 808 batteries with cartos from various suppliers until both of those batteries completely died on me... Couldn't hold a charge, one just will not charge. So out and about I went scowering for my next choice when I stumbled upon the 808 style eGo battery!! Couldn't get many opinions or reviews since It is fairly new I believe, but purchased it anyway to use with these blank 808 cartos I had. Shipped with a strong enough charge to try it out and I am loving it ba da ba ba ba. Looks awesome and cranks out vapor... It is my first manual battery, so any info you would like to share with me on their operation would be nice.

Also, I am using it with my charger that came with the slim 808 batteries i purchased first - is this okay? The output on the label (of the charger) states 5vDC 150mA and my particular battery model is the smoktek 808 eGo 650mAh. Don't want to damage it as it is brand new and I really, really, like it. Another thing, I am using my standard 808 blank carts from litecig (the premiums) and while they fit snugly and vape just fine, are these okay as well to use with this? I see alot of people with similar batteries using cones and things like that...Are these basically the same disreguarding their juice capacity?

Thank you in advance, this is my first time posting after peeping around for quite some time, I appreciate everyone here!:2cool:

One thing you can do with a manual battery that you can't with an auto is hit the button a second or two before you inhale, preheating the coil and giving you a better vape.

You should be able to use your 150mAh charger with your new battery. It will just take longer to charge. If you get a fast charger for it (guessing about 420mAh) you absolutely MUST NOT use it with your older slim batteries. The smaller batteries WILL burst, possibly catching fire and exploding in the process.

I'm sorry that I can't answer your questions but didn't want you to think that you are being ignored. I am sure someone will be along that can help you. Welcome to ECF.

Wow, held it down very quickly and took a drag - MUY SABROSOOO! Good tip. And thank you for the battery info, that is just the type of thing i wanted to be cautious about. Looks like I am good to go guys.

Your carts will work fine on your new battery just will not hold as much juice as some of the options, and welcome

Cant wait to explore those other options, this thing is a beast. Salute to you!

Thanks again to you all

Re: Charger and battery issues IMHO you need to either use the charger designed for the battery you purchased or research the matter. Using an improperly rated charger and battery can be an explosive combination.

If I'm wrong someone can correct me I would proceed w/ caution.

Welcome to the ECF! Make sure to post what you find.

I'll agree with Huffel on this one. Although the charger is a very low output and more than likely will in fact work for your eGo style battery it's not something that will be recommended by any of the more knowledgable members here including myself. Since you have a new shiny battery and you want to have it work for you as intended, do yourself a favor and buy a charger that is designed to work with that particuler battery. Please remember that not all chargers and batteries have the same polarity and we don't want to see you end up in the hospital.

@Huffelpuff The charger here is explicitly listed as compatible but it is out of stock 808 USB Charger for KR808D-1 and 808-eGo batteries - 200ma

Is the 50mAh difference going to cause problems here? I haven't attempted to charge it yet as it came with an adequate charge for vaping, but when i did plug it in to test the thread compatibility (slim charger) the light blinks several times then goes out. My question is, even with the correct charger, on these batteries instead of the light going out upon charge completion, does it illuminate instead? I only ask because my previous batteries behaved in the opposite manner.
