Hi All,
I'm Robbo and I live in the Durban area in South Africa. I don't know how many South African vapers are registered on this forum, but I look forward to communicating with them and sharing advice.
I was a heavy smoker (60 plain a day for 29 years and pipe for a further 11 years) and suffered from repeated bronchitis. I tried many times to quit, but never made it past a few days. I saw an ad for e-cigs and made the conscious decision to change to vaping.
I easily made the transition and have been clean for 21 months now. I found a South African supplier called Electronic Cigarette Suppliers and found them extremely helpful. They are pretty reasonable, deliver promptly and carry spares and e-liquids. Their brand is the ECS2010. They first had the old 3 part models with troublesome atomisers and small cartridges, but now they are 2 part models with great cartomisers, which produce heaps of vapour. They even repack a starter kit with cartomisers and refill liquid of your choice.
I am so pleased electronic cigarettes were developed. Pity they weren't around earlier! I do not miss tobacco, have a clear chest, no cough and love vaping. I'll never smoke again and encourage all of you who are, to give the healthier alternative a try. It is difficult to change and requires a lot of disciplie, maintenance and preparation, but it's worth it.
Like someone else said in another thread, always have a stash of supplies on hand. Have spare batteries, charger, carts and liquid - just in case. Always have charged batteries with you. I have been caught out a few times!
We (my wife and I) have 18 batteries, a bottle of juice and 10 cartomisers with us at all times!
Anyone in South Africa thinking of starting or looking for a good supplier should try the ECS. I don't know if I'm allowed to post a link here, but I gave you the name - Electronic Cigarette Suppliers - just look them up.
