Even vapers are failing to notice that vaping can be an entirely superior experience to smoking. Many or most of us could smoke a cigarette any time with no risk of relapse. I smoked a few cigarettes after I switched to prove to some smoking coworkers that I was relapse proof. I finally gave that up because it was becoming too unpleasant. Regardless of cost kids won't move on to smoking because it's inferior to vaping, not to mention the higher cost. If the kids can vape they won't smoke. If they don't smoke the tobacco age is over.

From the article:
Instead, Kozlowski said, public health experts need to continue stressing the well-documented dangers of cigarettes and what is likely to be true about differential risks.

"Those smokers who have tried only cig-alike products should know that they may be able to find a more satisfying substitute for smoking in other vaping products," he adds. "The focus should be giving up smoking completely first. After that, we would also encourage giving up vaping, provided it doesn't cause a return to smoking."

At least a step in the right direction!

Killjoys.
A few times after I bragged to some non smoker about how I stopped smoking they ask when am I going to stop vaping. My first response was, why should I do that? Do you drink? Do you watch NFL football? When are you going to give up those? And then the fog clears from my brain and I followed up with...and I wouldn't save any money, vaping is free, just to make sure they're as ...... off at me as I am at them. Smokers are second class citizens who are tolerated because they pay their way, pay a lot more taxes, then die young so we don't have to support them in their old age. Vapers enjoy their habit, don't pay the taxes and live a normal span of years. if everybody stops smoking social security is going to have a big problem.

Studies of daily vapers are far far more important for understanding vaping (than are studies on past month vapers or ever vapers), which is precisely why the vast majoritiy of Obama's DHHS funded studies focused only on ever vapers or past month vapers. Kozlowski has been advocating THR products for smokers for more than 20 years (as he focused on smokeless tobacco before vaping came along).

Here's the full text; Study of daily vapers finds:
Daily users compared to less frequent users find vape as or more satisfying and less dangerous than cigarettes, and are likelier to use non-cig-alike vaping products

- Daily users of e-cigarettes found them at least as satisfying as cigarettes.

- Satisfaction from e-cigarettes was more likely in more frequent users.

- All daily users reported them as less dangerous than cigarettes.

- Perceived danger from e-cigarettes was higher in less frequent users.

- Daily users of e-cigarettes were more likely to be using non-cig-alikes.
