New E-cigarette Study Shows No Risk from Environmental Vapor Exposure | Guide To Vaping

I'm from Downunder and noticed that a fellow Kiwi was instrumental in this study. Even in Australia, where I currently live, we tend to think that vaping actually is healthier than cigs, but as I travel in the US (currently in Arizona) it seems this is taboo to mention. Maybe studies like the one above will change that?

Seems kinda obvious, but then again, until it's officially been measured under controlled conditions I guess it can't be called science. However, now that this has been done, can American vapers declare that vaping is less toxic than Smoking!??

And in Australia, where smoking in bars or clubs etc now has to be done literally behind *locked doors*, it's studies like this that will force governments on all levels to admit that there is no reason not to allow vaping.

This is good news. Hopefully more studies like this will come out soon. I am extremely pleased that smokefree Pennsylvania doesn't see a reason to lump vaping in under the smoking bans (I'm from PA ). Vaping needs to be separated from smoking in the public eye. What's hurting the cause the most is the horrible name e-cig.

Personally, it kinda peeves me that I'm forced to sit in the smoking section and breathe in all that crap. Someone is going to sue a state one day,,,,,,,,,,just sayin.

I find that if I vape before entering an establishment and hold my pen around, or put in pocket then take out, I can always get away with another vape somewhere in the place discreetly, showing that it isn't 'bad smoke' ... I see it as guerrilla education 8)

I think it's good manners too, but I wouldn't go to a designated section with smokers if it ever came down to that. I'd vape somewhere else outdoors either blatantly or stealth.

This is indeed great news, but I'll hold off on any hope that it will make a significant difference in any current pending legislation. However, even if it only helps to change public opinion on vaping and vapers, then I believe it can be a good boost for the cause.

My workplace just recently declared our facility a "Smokefree Facility" for EMPLOYEES ONLY..which includes e-cigs..it's a assisted living facility. We have a designated smoking area out back for residents and staff alike. However, STAFF now has to walk down to the lower parking lot to smoke AND vape, because residents insist on sitting right near the back entrance, dropping their trash, etc..constantly breaking rules...Sorry for the rant, but even me, being the only vaper has to stand in the cold and rain to vape now! This all started because of one non smoking employees complaints of second hand smoke..Maybe with these studies things will start to sink in for ignorant minds!!
