New Switch POOF!

Ok,
hope Casey reads this as NOT showing my PM sent

Had issues with orig. switch. Which emailled about.

Anyway, ordered and received new switch (with resistor) 4 days ago and been using that since.

Now, all of sudden that switch has stopped working.

It should NOT be battery, adaptor, atom., etc. as OTHER (orig. switch which have to dpress loooong way now) works.

I put a meter on switch contacts on ohms.

Both switches read about same until button is depressed and then the new one does not change whereas the the older dodgy one does, resistor?

Either way I leave for overseas next week for a month and don't want just my older/dodgy switch (hence why ordered the new one).

From what can asses (without taking whole thing apart) might be switch itself.
Can get reading with resistor but switch depression does nada!
Solder looks ok and seem's to have continuity electrically speaking.

So, Need switch asap for foreign trip

there is a thread in this forum for troubleshooting, did you go through each of those steps and try cleaning the parts and such that are detailed?

Done everything.
Inc. isolating switch alone.
Tested switch with meter and NO continuity with switch depressed = no voltage = no worky

Submitted ticket on PS site but NO response yet.
Looks like overseas sans spare/good switch at this point.
