New Tank <Boge F-16> Horrible experience

First thing, I have been vaping for a few months and tinkering all my life, now 59. Have built a few wick/coils and used most of the everyday containment systems. Carts, Carto, CE4&5, Kanger. Gone from M401 through 510's several EGO type setups and now enjoying my YJ Variable volt tube. Juices are another whole song and dance - still no real ADV choices

Ok Time to try out tanks. Something nice but affordable for the VV. Ordered a Mini-DID clone, Smok Vivi(to mod) and a Boge F-16 with extra f-16 pre-punched Cartos.

Today - Inspected the F-16 and everything looked good to go. Got out my Sample of Holy Grail(ry4) They actually sent me 5ml in a needle tip bottle and a carto to try. Decided 5 ml would be better served in a tank.
I drop filled the carto until juice just started coming into the punch holes, inserted the carto into the tank and fill the tank. Left everything to sit for about 30 minutes.

Boge F-16 @1.7ohm, Holy Grail(ry4), VV mod @ 3.7v
First Vape - HORRIBLE TASTE - not burnt, just plain nasty. Thought okay maybe something needs to burn off. Several more vapes - Nasty..... Turned up the VV a bit and got a warmer but still very nasty taste.

Think Turkey, 3 days in the sun, then fried in Rancid Grease. That is literally what it smelled and tasted like.

I grabbed my syringe and quickly emptied the tank -Thinking maybe the Carto was an issue and I could save most of the juice. NOT thinking at all, I injected the juice back into the bottle with the remaining Holy Grail. Whole bottle now stinks - ruined!!

I have completely disassembled, washed the Tank parts under Scalding HOT water, flushed the original carto. Re-assembled everything with a fresh Boge Carto,......... but now it is messing with my mind. I'm almost afraid to try this tank again.

1 Bright note on an otherwise bad day. I set up the mini-DIDc, 1.9ohm Coil and it vapes great. Nice Vapor, Good TH and the Flavor Shines!

Got up the nerve to try again.

I had a juice miss-ship sitting around I wasn't sure what to do with. Cappuccino that magically turned into Candy Banana. Don't like it at all. Found that blending 50/50 with Blueberry makes it a okay vape.

So, I primed up the fresh F-16 Carto and topped off the tank. Let it sit for about 30 minutes. Had some of the same mix in a Smok Shorty 1.7ohm on a 650 EGO to test flavor/mix.

Compared the taste in both units and the Tank has the same Flavor as the Shorty.

Conclusion - I'm Satisfied they are Very nice tanks. Look Good and Vape well with a clean taste. I am even going to order 2 more to replace a few CE4. Will Thoroughly clean them Before use.

Maybe they are using Whale Blubber to grease the lathes.

It is probably that nasty lubricant they use on the lathes.
It is not good fresh and when it gets old it is even worse. Used to work in a Machine Shop many, MANY years ago.

Strange that they would not lean their parts though.

Well Crappohla,
Let the last bit of Holy Grail sit for the last 2 weeks. Couldn't bring myself to try again after the tank experience.
Loaded up a 1.9ohm Smok Shorty and got the same Nasty taste. Either the E-liquid was tainted by the tank..... or more likely, I got the bottom of the barrel on this Holy Grail sample and it was the problem the whole time.
Will be a long time before I forget and order that mix again

I just ordered (of course it only comes in one size, 30ml) of holy grail ry4 and am having a similar experience.
I thought it was me, because the reviews were good on the forum; but it actually makes me feel kind of ill. It tastes pretty disgusting actually.
