I'd highly suggest a tank from IBTanked. They are great people with a great product for a great price. $5 will get you a clear 19mm tube (standard or XL) and $17.50 for stainless endcaps. Then you just need cartos and a drip tip (if you don't have one). I'd also suggest getting a refill tool, they are in the drip tip section as it can double as a driptip. It will save your o-rings and make refilling your tank a breeze.

OCD is now offering a complete tank setup kit for $25:

Clear pyrex tube in choice of diameter and length
Set of stainless steel caps
Appropriate pre-punched cartomizer
Combo drip tip/tank filling tool
Extra o-rings
Thingy

Never saw that. Thanks for the heads up. Gonna be hard to find a better deal than that.

Came here looking for answers. Glad the Op got his figured out.
Unfortunately my F16 with Boge 2 hole Cartomizers seems to flood out while sitting. It seems, IF I can get it cleared out, It vapes great. Nice warm and tasty. No gurgling or anything. If I sit it down for a while it floods again. Mostly I vape 70/30 or 50/50 but the tank has only seen the 70/30 mixes so far.

Should I be laying the tank on its side when not in use instead of Standing?

Your issue is perplexing to me. Theoretically, positioning of the cartotank should not have any bearing on what sounds like flooding of the cartomizer. Liquid should only enter into the cartomizer when suction is applied while vaping.

Has this happened with any other carto in this tank, or has it been isolated to the carto currently in the tank? It might be a defective carto, perhaps something having to do with the center airhole. Do you punch your own cartomizers?

Have you noticed any leakage between the cartomizer and battery connection?

Does the tank leak if you lay it on its side?

what are those lil screws on the cartomizers?

Those are for easier filling, take out the screw, fill with a needle, or needle tip bottle, then put the screw back in. Some like them, some don't. It can also help hold the tank on the carto so it doesn't slide off as easily.

The Carto's are Pre-punched Boge Flanged
No leaks around tank
Fluid Pools on the 510 connection
Laying on its side never seems to be an issue - no leaking.
Note: Just realized this may be the original Carto that was flooding. I had a leaking issue and used a syringe to reclaim fluid from the tank. Rinsed out the carto and tossed it into my tinker box. I accidentally burned dry a replacement carto while tinkering with a new mechanical mod.(switch was pinched in palm:facepalm:) Pulled it and grabbed an open Carto.

Vaping this carto, out of tank now. Taped holes. Added a few drops after top went White/dry and got an instant puddle on the 510:(

My top of the carto has Always been bone dry- they're known to run fine that way. I put very little in my cartos to prime them for a tank. And then run the cartotank And carto almost dry before refilling.

Sorry for taking anyone's time. It seems I did grab the same Carto that originally came with the tank. 2.6ohm with a leaking issue. Maybe the filler is not fully down and allowing a pool in the base of the carto, who knows.

Anyway after cleaning uo the tank, I placed a new Boge pre-punched 2 hole in and filled it. After sitting for 30 min. it Vaped great. After an hour it still has a nice sizzle and good flavor/vapor. I'll see how it does over night, but performance is already much better and not soggy sounding.

For reference I know the resistance can make the vape but I am running a VW device so performance should be near equal when things are right.

Howdy folks, thought I'd say hi and let y'all know, I've now got 2 Artemis tanks, 2 boge f16 tanks, and 2 of the sets from IBTanked. Love them all. Since I listened to good sound advice I got here, I've not found a single leak...anywhere. My RBAs have all been cleaned and stored for another time/place/person. The only other tanks (so to speak) I am using is the vivi nova minis. I have 5 of them and they come in handy when I'm testing out a small amount of juice for the first time and since I rebuild/rewick them with cotton myself, inexpensive.

Speaking of expense, I'm having a hell of a time trying to locate flanged, 2hole prepunched, single coil, approx 2ohm, cartos. I'm using these on both my VW Groove, and on my mech mod. Anyone got a favorite vendor they might wanna share? I was trying to find one of the 50 carto deals (all i can find are non-punched), figured since I enjoy these tanks ( and have plans to buy different tanks for awhile till I find the right ones), I should stock up so I don't find myself short. Now, I've only had the boges I bought, 1.7s, and am enjoying the vape tremendously, but am open to trying others, suggestions?

As always, you folks have made the tank experience very enjoyable. Thanks for the assist.

PS wow, just noticed my banner, I've gone 5 months with no cigs, lol, never thought that was possible, lol.

Hey, Mac. Here is a link to my blog article that has a list of a dozen online vendors that sell single coil, laser-drilled carts. Lots of other useful information on tanks and cartomizers in my other blogs. Just click the link under my avatar, and then click on the title of the article you wish to read:

I have only read your question and none of the answers but If your tank REALLY wasn't leaking you wouldn't find any juice on your connection. Therefore, the problem has to be the tank. I have a phiniac tank and also use boge cartomizers. I also have some leaked juice on my connector but it's such a tiny amount of juice that I don't have to bother cleaning it for WEEKS. It has to be the tank! No flooded carto will lead to that problem!
