I got a 510 5 volt boxmod from ken's Box Mods . I'm trying to figure this thing out. I tried an atty I had on my tornado and only got a 2 sec hit. Ken said try another atty. I broke out the multimeter and it measured 2.5ohms. I tested some others an found one at 3.2ohms. That one worked like a charm.

Now i'm going through my juice to find out what works. As I get the technique down I will have to revisit these other juices. So far I only have one juice that tastes good @ 5v. custom TV (80%Tab/Ment, 10%apple, 10% cherry) 35%VG, 24mg.

BTW, I'm a dripper.

Please post some tips on vaping at 5 volts.

With the 3.2ohm atty you're vaping at 7.8 Watts at the far end of my particular 'sweetspot' 6-8 Watts. Above 8 I lose flavor but we're talking stronger flavors. Fruit and berry flavors won't hold up as well, so 7.8W might be too much for some flavors. You could try the 'High Voltage' flavors and Nhaler or the 'doublers' from Tasty Vapor where the flavor is extra.

Another ploy would be to find a bit higher ohm 510 atomizer or get a 510 to 901 adapter and use the regular 901 kit atomizer which runs at 3.4 ohms and would be 7.4Watt range - a bit better on flavor and in my experience the perfect wattage for the 5 volt. I use the 901 and the Nhaler's 3.4 ohm cartomizers but of course that last isn't for dripping.

Regular 510 atomizers are easily burnt out at 5 volts where you're pulling 11+Wattage, unless the atty is drenched and you keep draws at just a few seconds - even then you'll lose some.
