Hey guys I ordered my first kit Tuesday, and I'm expecting it sometime today. I just wanted to say thank you for all of the great information and general kindness that you can find here.
I am only a casual smoker about two packs a week, but I do enjoy smoking, and wanted to find a way to keep my girlfriend happy as well. I was merely wondering what is it that made you switch, and how often, if ever do you relapse?

Hi there and welcome....

I switched to vaping because I was seriously worried about my health, but found it almost impossible to quit as I am surrounded by smokers all day.....

I do slip, when stress is higher than the usual intolerable level that is my normal level8-o

I am looking at changing my nic level to counteract this, but for 25 years I have been smoking an average of 40 per day and If I do slip now, it is maybe 1-2 per day. When I am out of the office I do not slip at all.

My thread (A little help if poss....) in the general forum explains a little more of the stress level and also how I am dealing with the slips.....

I hope you enjoy and succeed in quitting the analogues.

:D

Welcome to the forum! Hope you enjoy vaping as much as most of us here do.

I wanted to quit smoking and I heard about these tried it at my local mall and decided to get one. After smoking over a pack a day for 13 years, I have been analog free for over 4 months and don't crave them at all.

Good luck to you!

Hello and welcome aboard.
I had been thinking about quitting for some time. Last fall I came across an ad in the local newspaper for Green Smoke. Ordered up the kit and started vaping on Sept 25th.
A month later I gave up on using that product and have been vaping with the 510 since.

I have never relapsed.

Some advice: Make sure you review the forum for your product so you start off on the right foot.

I use a Joye 510 mostly and have been continuously anolog smoke free since July of laste year - no relapses at all and do not crave a cig ever. Vaping is so much better. I think the key to vaping is getting the right juice and nic levels. You'll have to experiment a bit to find out what works best for you. Good thing is I have almost completely stopped using nic in my juice. Soon I will be nic free as well! :w00t:

My first PV was from SmokingEverywhere, but my first REAL PV was the 510 and that was definitely my atomizer of choice even at 5V. However, I'm currently using the GreenCig cartos on my Xhaler at 5V and looking into getting a 3.7V battery because 5V is still a bit much so I'm thinking a slightly lower voltage battery might be better with the cartos.

I smoked for 37+ years, 1-2 packs a day, and had many unsuccessful quitting attempts. Like many long-term smokers, I assumed that I'd die a horrible death with my butts still in my hand.

I smoked a cigarette while I was opening my new e-cig (Vapor King from Vapor4Life). I have not smoked since. That was on October 16, 2009.

If you want to stop smoking analogs, you can do it - without suffering - with an e-cig. It's a miracle, really.

hey lark... did you return your GreenSmoke? I'm just wondering if they make good on their no questions asked money back guarantee. I've seen a couple people ask about it, but you are the only one I've read (in my limited time here) who may have taken them up on it.
Nope I never did return it, the only thing that was any good was the USB PT (this is a very good product) Maybe some day I will use it again and the carts but I doubt it. The batts are junk.
