So I had my mod at the neighborhood B&m today. They are a bit behind on new products, the newest thing they have are the 30w dna clones. Kid that works there wanted to try my mod out to see how she ran and he did a pretty good job of running it thru its paces. He got it up to about 65 w and still had a volt to go and vape at 6v and coughed pretty loud and said dont need 6 volts ive seen enough, and I see I need one asap.

Im still pretty happy with it, has so much going for it, lightweight, battery life, looks good and kicks ... when you need it too

Remains to be seen how well this holds up. Two primer coats and two paint coats. Just waiting on some parts to show up in the next day or so here.

Sadly the pot doesn't fit trough the hole anymore , I'll have to sand a bit off the wheel or the paint.

So how you coming along?

I am still very impressed the raptor board. Following a thread over on reddit that Raff wrote up about tips for using the Ranger mod which is pretty much what we havve. But his are very-very-very-very nice. I need some more practice lol. He explained the in's and out's of voltage compared to wattage and how using the okr or raptor board is different from the vw mods. So high voltage combined with low amp's can give you a great vape along with some serious battery life. Today Ive been running mine at 5.2v with a .90ohm dual coil in a dripper which on paper is making 30 watts of energy and 5.78 amps. I just passed the 13 hour mark and check my battery's. The combined voltage is 7.1 volts, and individual volts is 3.55. Im very impressed with that, and the vape is terrific. Im going to continue this tomorrow but go down to .80 and see how that turns out. With these results im thinking my next mod will be the 20 amp raptor in the same size box. I know it wont be easy just will have to take my time and see how some others are building those in the G size box.

.50w is what I was told to use im not sure if anything less than that will work, here's a link to the one I used. It does work just fine, you can vape all the way down and when you hit that limit it will hiccup and voltage output will decrease. If I was to do it again I would use a 6volt.

How's is the mod coming along Johnny. Did you manage to get that lil sucker wired up? I did mine twice, was a pain with 20g. If I had to do again I would use 22 or 24 on on pin1 and pin5 just to try for more room. I seen somewhere that you can move the pins for more space I was too scared to do it.

:) So far, so good. I have all five pins soldered with the 2 resistors and diode in place with 2" wires, like on the "Find My Vapes" tutorial on YouTube.

There are other challenges I am working on regarding this project; space constraints are a huge challenge. More will be revealed soon.

:D It's ALIVE! -Temptation forced me to "rig up" the T/6 chip up to verify proper function, and it works excellent. The potentiometer controls the current nicely and when it is turned up all the way, it is beyond the power that I usually vape at. This is going to be awesome! :p

It is going into a scratch built aluminum box, made from a rectangular extrusion and some plate. Gonna try to stack the 18350's with a juice bottle for bottom feed. I also have a wiring idea to make a 3.7V charger work with series batts. Not sure but I will try. Waiting on China for my micro USB boards. Trying to put all of this into a small box is going to drive me nuts.
