Hey everyone i just got my newest cloud chasing setup and my first. The mod i picked was a Sigelei 150watt, Tobeco clone atty tank at a 0.5Ohm build, organic cotton and my batteries are the Efest 18650 purple 35A.

I have been building coils for a while now and the thing im noticing and just trying to confirm is that sometimes my vapor gets harsh im using 100%VG and it's at the end of my draws. I was wondering if drilling the holes i have a wide boar and a non wide boar mouth piece. I was contemplating punching 2 new holes in my atty. I flipped my casing upside down so the holes are higher and i noticed immediately a cooler vape.

Personally, to me the TOBH isn't a cloud chasing att, it was more flavor for me since the airflow is lacking. When I had one, I slotted the airholes and filed down them tabs on it.

Could the harshness at the end mean something is wrong with the build? I know one time i had that and the coil started glowing throughout a pull. It's when I choked it with cotton and the cotton burned out in the middle or a hot leg? I speak for personal experience on them 2 haha.

i have checked my coils and non of them glow once wicked and juice is added even at the time reset on the Sigelei for holding the button down for to long. I honestly agree and think that it is the air holes on the Atty and i've been tempted very much to punch 2 more holes above me others. I don't think my build is wrong i double check it every morning to make sure my coils don't glow :D.

I think the atty just with the small holes either needs to be ported or add a few new hole punches to the tank. I can take a full lung draw off of it just that i can't sometimes finish because i notice my vapor is hot or to harsh on throat on last final bits of inhale.

possibly idk if it's me but .... my setup is a legitimate drip tank i get maybe 4-5 good draws and then i think you guys are onto it the cotton is drying out i see little light white spots of it being dry im just curious if there is a way to avoid this and still have a sub ohm vape to puff on longer because when im driving it's very concerning to try and fill a tank while driving haha. I was also debating in a driving tank with higher ohm setup so my juice goes a big longer.

Thanks everyone for the speedy replies and all

Just an FYI for you. Sigelei recommends 30A CDR batteries for their 150 watt box mod. Your purple Efest batteries are only 20A.

Purple Efest Batteries not as Advertised
* A cautionary blog that reveals that the purple Efest batteries may not have the specifications advertised. Also includes a commentary on "continuous discharge ratings" vs "pulse discharge ratings" of battery specs.

If you are looking for 30A batteries look for the Sony VTC4's (there are no authentic VTC5's to be found). RTD Vapor usually has them in stock.

BATTERIES - WHERE TO BUY

Only buy batteries from a reputable supplier (not ebay or Amazon) as there are many counterfeit batteries being sold. Here are several reputable battery suppliers in the US.

* RTD Vapor
* Illumination Supply
* Lighthound
* Orbtronics

If you read the link I posted you would see that they are only 20A CDR (35A pulse). EFest is well known for mislabeling their batteries with the pulse rating and not the continuous discharge rating.

Also i have the Samsung VTC4 and there only 20Amps

Samsung doesn't make the VTC4's. Sony does. You probably have the Samsung 25R 2500mah. It's a very good 20A CDR battery.

So as i read it looked that basically there the same as the Sony VTC4 cells just with a differet wrap.

150 watts mod. .5 ohms. 100% vg. Harsh hits. Hmmm, I wonder why that could be happening.

Its the build and airflow, guaranteed. The batteries have nothing to do with it.

OP, although battery basics are good to know, batteries are not the cause of your problem and are taking this thread off-topic. Your Efest are not rewrapped VTCs, they are rewrapped 20A AW batteries. But that really makes no difference for what you are trying to accomplish.

EMC1 i hope you know that Cloud Chasing and Vapor Competitions usually provide you with 100%VG ROFFL and the harshness comes from the PG and nicotine levels mixed it. I was coming down to dry hits please read and review information on juices i have done my research.

If i rewick thats pretty minimal cotton to stop coils from glowing. Also i plan on hole punching some more ports with a drill press so i don't have janky lookin RDA lol. So would it be better to switch over to my samsung batteries because they seem to get the vapor hotter the my Efest and less enjoyable for me just trying it.

on a note people are vaping 100%VG on .1Ohm so i can provide you with information on some Sub Ohm guys on youtube

No!

That is not what either link I posted said. The purple Efest 35A battery is a rebranded (or rewrapped) LG18650HE2 2500mAh 20 amp battery

it stated it was a rebrand and if your looking for the battery and google what is rebranded with it's High Drain battery. I just looked into this and checked the numbers and everything so even if it was Rebranded it's a 20Amp High drain battery.

then im curious why this person made this statement "I am very sure this is in fact simply a rebranded Sony US18650VTC4 cell."

Simple.

They were wrong.

The Efest battery is a 20A continuous drain battery with a 35A pulse rating. VTC4s are 30A continuous drain with a 60A pulse rating.
